The Girl
She was beautiful, irresistable...

She held her finger to her lips as she grinned at me wickedly. She took my hand and I felt her warmth seep into me. I felt comforted. When I was with her I felt different. I was powerful, confident. I was no longer the girl that people looked down on, that people laughed at in the hallways at school when they passed. I was adored. I was admired. And it was all because of her. She was a Goddess in my eyes.

Which is why I listened to her. No matter what she said to me, I agreed. No matter what she asked me to do, I followed. In hindsight, maybe it was a little stupid. But I was naive and I was in love.

The night I followed her into the old abandoned house on the corner of the street, she whispered sweet nothings into my ear. She promised it would be fine, that she would keep me safe. Little did I know how much danger I was in.

The night was cold, a late November evening shrouded in mist that reached the ground, swirling at my ankles. The moon was full and bright, illuminating our way even as we passed the last street lamp and kept going, moving out of it's warming orange glow. I felt nervous then, feeling hairs rising on the back of my neck, my arms protesting with goose bumps. But I looked at her and I felt safe. So I continued, following her.

As we reached the house I saw how magnificent it would have been when it was lived in, when it was a home. Now it was just an empty shack. The paint had flaked from the walls, the windows grimy and rotting at the sills. The door was huge, a brass knocker set into the middle of it, a huge lion head staring at me as we approached.

"Nell, I don't know about this," I protested, standing back as she tried to pull me up the porch steps.

She turned around, giving me that dazzling smile I couldn't resist. "Don't be silly Megan, it's just a house."

She yanked on my hand as if I were a dog, I followed. I wanted to be close to her, feel her warmth.

I found myself standing behind her at the front door. It loomed before me, the paint all but gone, only reminiscent of its previous colour. She knocked using the lions head in the centre, giggling at her own prank. I heard the knock ring through the empty house, through the rooms it echoed. I wondered what it was like inside and knew I'd be finding out soon enough.

She tried the handle on the door, extending her slender hands, and though she turned, it wouldn't budge. With a small sigh she hopped away from the door, her breasts bouncing beneath her dark sweater.

Oh well, we best head home...

"Come on, let's try a window," she grinned at me, her eyes twinkling.

I followed her like the sheep I'd become, as she moved around to the back of the house. I guess she thought it would be less conspicuous. She tried the first window, pulling on the ledge with all of her might, but it wouldn't budge. A crease crossed her forehead. Without a moments hesistation she moved onto the next one, putting the same energy into it. She hadn't needed to; the window seemed to move with apparent ease, sliding up top with an almighty crash. She eyed me for a second, panic in her eyes. The panic subsided and was replaced with a grin. We were going in.

"I'll go first," she told me. I had no time to protest before she was slinking through the window head first, resting on something. Then she was gone, melting into the darkness of the house.

"Nell!" I whispered harshly into the darkness. There came no reply. I waited for a few minutes with baited breath. Where is she?

"Nell," I tried again. My voice sounded weak, unsure.

"Megan, come on!" her voice hissed from the darkness, sounding exasperated. With a sigh I stepped forward, my natural reaction was to follow her.

I peered through the window and saw darkness. I could make out black shapes where I presumed furniture stood. Something moved to the right. Gasping, I jumped back, my heart thumping.

"Just me," her melodious voice called. "Are you coming or what?"

I knew I couldn't resist her, no matter how much my heart told me to stay outside. Instead, I climbed through the window, letting my eyes adjust to the darkness before I dropped down off the kitchen bench onto a hard floor.

"I thought you'd never come," she grinned at me wickedly. She pressed her lips to mine in a soft kiss and I lapped it up, wanting more even as her lips parted and she moved away.

I reached for her hand, feeling her fingers wrap around my own. They were cold to the touch. I followed her blindly in the dark, my right hand entwined in hers, my left groping in front of me, feeling for any obstacles. Nell seemed to know where she was going as she made it down the hall and rounded the bottom of the stairs, her feet pounding on the bare boards.

I tugged gently as I realised where she was headed. She turned to face me. I saw her eyes shining in the darkness, glinting with a hint of excitement.

"What's up?" she asked me, her voice soft, inviting.

"Why are we going up there?" I nudged her, my voice barely audible.

"To see what's there," she winked at me before turning to face the stairs once more. That's the end of that conversation then.

Never before had I found myself get into such a situation. Never before had I been so madly in love that all of my senses all but disappeared and I could simply follow, my reasoning gone. I wanted her, so badly. I wanted to be with her, be close to her. She cast a spell over me that made me powerless to disobey. As I climbed the stairs behind her, my hand gripping hers tighter, I pushed those thoughts from my mind. After all, I've got nothing to worry about.

We soon reached the top of the stairs. From our position on the landing I could see a little clearer. The moonlight streamed in through a dirty window at the front of the house. I could see the dust on the bare planks of wood, shifting and swirling in the air with each step we took.

There were three doors that were set off the landing, all of them closed. As if she knew where she was going Nell ignored the first two, walking past the closed, musty doors with no interest. It was when she reached the third that she stopped. Her fingers detangled from mine. I suddenly felt lost, vulnerable. I felt my heart began to race.

"Nell...."

She reached out, her slender fingers wrapping around the round handle, turning it silently until the door clicked open. Then she was gone, consumed within the darkness of the room.

"Nell..." I hissed, my voice shaking. My breathe was erratic, my heart pounding. I didn't want to go in there. I could see nothing. I didn't want to be in the house anymore.

"Nell, I'm going..." I tried again. Yet my feet were still firmly planted. I was frozen.

"Megan, it's time..." her voice was soft like honey as she spoke to me from within. I felt myself take a step forward involuntarily, the step loud in the silence of the house.

Time. It's time. Finally, she will be mine. I thought of what awaited me inside. Her lush, full lips, her sparkling eyes, the curves that had so far remained hidden beneath an array of beautifully tempting clothes. I took another step forward, pausing just ouside of the doorway.

Suddenly something came flying out of the door. I caught it by sheer reaction, my hands shaking. I almost shrieked until I realised I was still alive. I glanced at what I clasped in my hands. It was her shirt. And her bra. She's naked in there. I bit my lip. I knew I couldn't resist. I had to have her.

"I'm coming in Nell," I called out, forcing my voice to be a little louder than it wanted to be. I heard a small giggle in reply. I was intoxicated, the excitement beginning to brim. I stepped forward, pushing the door a little wider. I saw her silhouette against the far window. I could see her bare breasts. I lost control. I could no longer function on two levels and as if forgetting the fear I felt at being in that place, I strode forward to meet her.

I stood before her taking in her beauty, her bare form mesmerising.

"Are you ready?" she whispered into my ear. I tingled all over.

All I could do was nod my assent. She moved forward into me, her body warm against mine. Her hands began to move, pulling me close. I felt her breath hot against my neck as she opened her mouth, her lips closing in on my skin. Then I felt something nip. I jumped in shock pulling away.

I stared into her eyes seeing that familiar excitement sparkling. Blood covered her lips.

She bit me? I lifted my hand to my neck and pulled it away, seeing it covered in my own dark blood.

"Nell..." I began to question.

Raising her hand she pulled her finger against her lips. Even knowing that she was dripping with my blood I felt unable to move, to do anything. I still wanted her.

"It's okay Megan, it's time." She smiled one last time. It was dazzling, irresistible.

Then I saw the glint of her fangs dripping with my blood before she pounced.
