Lovesong
A longsong.

Let me sing you a song
About what I feel in my heart
About when I first laid eyes on you
And I knew we'd never part
Nothing compares to the beauty I see;
And not one person would believe
The love I feel when I look at you.

But a song won't do because the beat won't fit
The rhythm is all wrong, and I can't find the lyrics
So instead let me hum you a tune
About holding you under the stars
While we lay on the moon
Looking down at the world just me and you
Humming the sweetest tune about love struck fools!

But this tune doesn't work! Will I never learn?
I can walk on the moons of mars and watch the world turn
But it's all means nothing
If I can't be with you

So instead I'll make you promise
That no matter where I go, I will think of you
And no matter who tugs and grabs, my heart will never move
You are:
My angel without wings. My perfect melody

So I'll sing my song and I'll hum my tune... all the while I'm thinking of you.
