Farewell, Nazi Zombies

Treyarch, you have made a game I literally spent a whole year playing, not giving two shits about the morons online, religiously. Not being in close proximity of my Black Ops case has given me depression. You have made an original, chaotic, exciting, and addicting series that is the only reason I even gave CoD a chance. You brought something to the table that gave everyone who played it a hard-on. The only reason fanboys can't explain why you're great is because they are baffled by Zombies! You had easter eggs that actually had rewards, either deepening the story, or helping keep us alive. I spent double the money just so I could play all the levels. The characters' quotes are memorable, and always make me smile.

You combined the nostalgia of impractical point systems and lasers, with modern games' story and character development. I think I need to quote my favorite rap to show you how great your game was:

I remember the days – feels so vivid back in ’08 I’m not kidding/ I gamed just as much as I do now and I did plenty killing/ But the game that had me hooked was Zombies in CoD: World at War/ It was something new and addicting man I swear my thumbs were soar/ Protect the windows or the door and if not what unleashed was gore Nazi whores plagued the floors it’s my favorite memory was it yours?





Yes, it was. I didn't just go with others' opinions; I reviewed each game I played, and I felt that this was the Sonic CD or Chrono Trigger of FPS games. Modern warfare 3? Good, but it never filled the hole. Like the new Sonic games, my nostalgia for the series couldn't keep me from disliking MW3. I TRIED. So hard! But I could not smile after surviving till wave 20 of Survival, or getting an EMP on multiplayer. What truly made me happy was a game LESS reliant on twitch gameplay... Treyarch, I don't hate you for stopping at Moon; I love you for making it to begin with. I am genuinely happy that I got to EXPERIENCE this game. I'm not just a random Rambo, I'm Tank Dempsey, with a backstory and personality!

This isn't the last time I'll turn on the power; I need a carpenter to hold my heart together until Black ops 2.

Treyarch, your perfection is like a fancy dessert. Zombies are the fancy dessert. It may be small, but it wasn't made to last a zillion years, it was made to finish your meal. Zombies was small, but it was delicious and you're glad you had it. This is bonus content that became something more. Thank you!
