Snow Day
by Lisa McCourt Hollar

Falling, drifting,
Not a sound,
Tiny snowflakes
Hit the ground.

Children sleeping,
In their beds,
Dreams of snowmen
In their heads.

Sparkling, shimmering,
In the sun,
A snowy world,
Brings morning fun.

Igloos, angels,
Snowball fights,
Sledding, playing
Winter's delight.
