Only Love Is Big Enough
we are insulated, it happens far away, not to us.

war,
torture,
starvation,
we are insulated,
it happens far away--
not to us.

hunger,
violence,
homelessness,
it can be ignored--
it's not us.

seeing,
empathy,
compassion--
"only love is big enough
to hold all the the pain
of this world."
