Hunger
by Lisa McCourt Hollar

Tommy was hungry. His mother hadn't moved off the couch for three days and was beginning to smell. Tommy wished the man had killed him too.

The key turned, releasing the deadbolt. It was the landlord. Attacking, Tommy sank his fangs into his fat neck and drank. The door open, he would hunger no more.
