Int. Bedroom-Morning

Gwen(20) Wakes up in her bed excited for a big trip. She and her friends are going to a circus. A dog enters her room with a newspaper saying an mentally ill patient has escaped the facility and has attack a few residents who attend a circus.

Gwen

Oh, What's this boy?

She takes the paper from the dog and puts it on the bed and pets the dog and asks him which dress she should wear. She gets dressed and and leaves right away to pick up her friends.

Ext. Cafe- Morning

Gwen reaches the cafe her friends are waiting at. Sophie(20) and her boyfriend Teddy(24) are eating a vegetarian breakfast while Jacqui(19) is drinking coffee to wake her up in the morning. Heather(21) and Noah(20) go to greet Gwen.

Heather

Well, it's about time you got here! I had to get stuck with the vegetarians and the caffeine freak

GWEN

(Laughing)

Sorry, My alarm clock stopped working

Noah

Don't sweat it Gwen she is just cranky cause she was the one who got up two hours earlier to get here

Heather

Hey, It's tough to be this beautiful you know

Jacqui finishes her coffee and walked outside to hear Heather's remark.

Jacqui

(Jokingly)

Well maybe for you Heather but not for me

Noah

Oh you done with your coffee, Jacqui?

JACQUI

Yeah, it wasn't that good I mean we don't sell any better. I'm quitting  this place soon anyway, so how was the ride here Gwen?

GWEN

The same, long

They share a laugh as a Max(16) walks out of the cafe with a bagel.

Noah

Oh Gwen, by the way this is my little brother, Max, my parents said I had to bring him

Gwen

That's alright, Noah

NOAH

Well aren't you going to say hi Max?

Max

Hey, I'm not a kid!

Noah

Max

Whatever, Hi I'm Max this idiot's little brother

Gwen

Well it's nice meeting you

NOAH

So you still grieving over your parents' death?

GWEN

Well it's been two years now since the car crash

JACQUI

GWEN

Yeah

Sophie and Teddy finishes their vegetarian breakfast and see the news paper article about the mentally ill escapee. They go out of the cafe to greet Gwen.

Teddy

Hey Gwen, when did you get here?

Gwen

Oh not too long ago, how are you?

Teddy

I'm fine but I don't know about Sophie

Gwen

Huh?

Sophie

G-Gwen, there was an article in the news paper about the circus

Sophie shows Gwen the article.

SOPHIE

(Cont.)

S-So maybe we shouldn't go

Heather

Of course you'd say that, anything so you don't get to see a clown right?

Sophie

Hey, clowns are creepy and scary

JACQUI

(Chuckles)

Sounds like me in the morning without coffee

Sophie

I'm serious guys!

Teddy

Hey, don't worry babe I'll be there

Sophie

Well, if you're there I guess I'll be safe

JACQUI

Hey, don't you have an uncle or something in the mental facility?

GWEN

Yeah, well I don't consider him an uncle sense he just watch my grand parents get killed, that's what my father said but anyway

Noah

So are we going now? The show will be starting soon

Gwen

Oh right

Max

This is my first time going to a circus

Heather

Yeah, I hope you don't get scared too, then we'll have two babies on our hands

SOPHIE

Hey!

They get into Gwen's van as they set off to the circus.

Ext. Circus-Day

They arrive at the circus. They see tons of people come to see it. Gwen parks the car as they get out.

Heather

(Sighs)

Finally we're here, I couldn't stand your horrible driving any longer

Gwen

What?

Noah

You could have always walked

Heather

What? It's like 5 miles away!

Jacqui

Come on guys we've just got here, no fighting

Max

Boy they fight more than kids my age

Teddy

Don't worry Sophie I'm here

Sophie clinches on to Teddy.

SOPHIE

I know but I just hate clowns

Teddy

How about this when it's the clowns part, close your eyes

SOPHIE

Yeah? That might work

They walk into the tent and find a seat. The whole tent is crowded and squished together.

Int. Circus- Day

As the group takes their seats the show begins. As the show goes on Gwen can't help but feel that she's being watched.

Gwen

Hey, Noah, do you feel like you're being watch?

Noah

Hmm? Nope, how about you Max?

Max

Huh? oh no...

Noah

Huh? I guess not, are you ok Gwen?

Gwen

Yeah, I guess I'm just getting claustrophobic

The show continues and as usual the clown act comes up. Sophie buries her head into Teddy's chest. A clown pokes her in the back, she turns around as the clown sprays her with water from his flower. Sophie screams and runs out.

Teddy

S-Sophie!

Teddy runs after Sophie.

Ext. Circus- Mid.Day

Teddy catches up to Sophie as she is leaning up on the van crying.

TEDDY

Hey, Sophie, come on

SOPHIE

No! I-I'll just wait in the car till it's over!

She opens the car door and goes in.

Teddy

Then I'll keep you company

Teddy gets in the van and shuts the door.

INT. CIRCUS- Mid.DAY

The Circus is now over and people start to get up and leave.

Noah

Well Max, How was that?

Max

It was amazing!

Jacqui

I know right! We'll have to come again

Heather

Yeah and next time let's not bring the cry baby

Gwen

(Worried)

I hope she's alright

Heather

Oh please, she's just a drama queen!

Gwen

I don't know, she seemed very scared

EXT. CIRCUS- night

They exit the tent and get to the van as Sophie and Teddy are sleeping in the van.

Noah

Aw look at the love birds sleeping

Gwen

Yeah, We shouldn't wake them

Heather

In that case, Hey wake up!!

Sophie and Teddy jolt as they are woken.

Sophie

What time is it?

Max

I don't know like twelve

TEDDY

Twelve?!

JACQUI

No, let me check my watch

She checks her watch as it reads 10:30.

JACQUI

Max

Oh well it feels late

Gwen

Yeah it does

They buckle up as they take off to the cafe.

EXT. CAFE- night

They reach the cafe as they get out of the van. Gwen tries to persuade them to let her take them home.

Gwen

Are you sure you guys don't want me to drop you guys off at your houses?

NOAH

No we're fine

Teddy

Yeah, I'll walk Sophie home

JACQUI

I just live a few blocks from here I'm fine and I have to close down the cafe tonight anyway

GWEN

What about you Heather?

HEATHER

I've said it before I rather walk than be in a car with you

GWEN

(Laugh)

Aw come on what's wrong with my driving?

HEATHER

Just no thanks

GWEN

Ok

As they go their separate ways. Teddy walks with Sophie to her house.

SOPHIE

Are you sure you should be walking home by your self Teddy?

TEDDY

(Chuckles)

Oh come on Sop I can tackle a few people that try to harm me

SOPHIE

Yeah? Football really helped you with that

TEDDY

As I said I'll always be there to protect you

They reach Sophie's house as he walks her in.

SOPHIE

They smile and kiss each other goodbye as Teddy leaves to go home. Heather reaches home.

Heather

Man, it was cold out, I should have got a ride but it's just not fair she's younger than me and already has her license

She goes into her house. Noah and Max reaches home.

Max

You think we'll ever be able to do this again?

Noah

Yeah I'm sure of it

Max

Not just going to the circus, I mean hang out with all your friends

NOAH

(Chuckles)

Oh? You like my friends?

Max

They were kind of cool

NOAH

They get inside their house. Jacqui and Teddy both reach their houses.

Int. Sophie's home- night

Sophie gets in her pajamas and turns the T.V on as she hears a soft voice.

Carver

(V.O)

Sophie...

She turns the volume louder ignoring the voice. The voice got louder.

CARVER

(V.O)

Sophie... I see you...

Sophie jumps up and turns off the T.V.

SOPHIE

(Scared)

W-Who's there?

CARVER

(V.O)

Sophie... Are you afraid of clowns?

SOPHIE

(Gasps)

W-Who's there?!

Sophie runs around the house frantic looking for where the voice is coming from.

SOPHIE

(Cont.)

W-What do you want?

CARVER

(V.O)

What do I want? hmm...

SOPHIE

(Terrified)

J-Just leave me alone!

CARVER

(V.O)

Ah, that's right... I want... To show you something

SOPHIE

S-Show me... something?

CARVER

(V.O)

Yes... in your bedroom

SOPHIE

My bedroom?!

Sophie runs to her bedroom.

CARVER

(V.O)

Yes I want to show you that... you should fear clowns, they're scary creepy creatures

SOPHIE

(Cries)

T-They are...

Sophie sees something in her bed as she slowly goes to her bed.

CARVER

(V.O)

Yes... That's it... Right under there

Sophie cries pulls her covers off as Caver(40), a creepy clown with a pair knife, jumps at her.

CARVER

Ahhh! Do I scare you!! (Maniacal laughs)

Sophie screams.

Cuts to white.

Ext. Sophie's house day

Gwen is on her usual walks around the block. There are tons of people and police cars at Sophie's house. Gwen runs to her friends that are there.

GWEN

Hey, guys what's going on?

HEATHER

It's Sophie, she was found dead in her room this morning

GWEN

What?!

TEDDY

(Crying)

Sophie no! Sophie!

Gwen tries to get in but a police officer, Officer Kurt (29) stops her.

Officer Kurt

I'm sorry ma'am but I can't allow you to go in there

GWEN

But that's my friend in there I have to see her!

OFFICER Kurt

(Sigh)

Alright if you promise not to touch anything, you hear me anything!

GWEN

Y-yes I promise

OFFICER Kurt

Alright then

Officer Kurt brings Gwen to Sophie's bedroom and pulls over her blankets. Sophie is hacked to pieces with her intestines wrapped around her neck.

GWEN

(Disgusted)

Oh my-!

Gwen throws up in her hands and walks out.

OFFICER Kurt

You can use the sink to wash your hands

Gwen runs to the bathroom and washes her hands.

OFFICER Kurt

(Cont.)

I guess this is your first time seeing someone dead huh?

GWEN

(Shakes her head)

No, I saw my parents in the autopsy

OFFICER Kurt

Oh, I'm sorry...

GWEN

It's ok, its been two years since then

OFFICER Kurt

What about you and your friend?

GWEN

Me and Sophie? we've been friends for years, ever sense I was a little girl I- (voice breaks) I can't believe shes gone

OFFICER Kurt

Yeah, death is a big travesty

GWEN

Who would do something like this?

OFFICER Kurt

I don't know, you should go back to the rest of your friends now

GWEN

(Chuckles)

Gwen and Kurt laughs as he walks her outside to her friends.

HEATHER

How was she? was it bad?

GWEN

Um, shes in a better place now

TEDDY

It's all my fault, I- (voice breaks) I told her I'd always be there for her but I wasn't

NOAH

Hey, come on man its not your fault

TEDDY

Yes it was I should have stayed with her. S-she was so scared

JACQUI

This is just horrible, was it suicide?

TEDDY

(Gasps)

She would never do that!

GWEN

No, this wasn't suicide, it was murder

Noah

Murder?

HEATHER

Well Who would murder Sophie?

TEDDY

Well don't look at me!

GWEN

I don't know

Officer Kurt and the other cops come out with Sophie's body in a body bag.

OFFICER Kurt

Gwen, don't you worry about this we'll find who did this

GWEN

Thank you, Kurt

Officer Kurt goes in the ambiance.

HEATHER

Well it looks as though something good happened

Gwen

Huh?

HEATHER

Oh please there is definitely something between you and officer Kurt

Gwen

No, I just met him

They start to leave. Gwen notices that Teddy is still on the ground crying.

GWEN

(Cont.)

Hey, Ted it will be ok

Teddy

How do you know? huh? I- I was gonna marry her she was gonna be Mrs Sophie Harper. (voice breaks) Now shes gone.

Noah sees Gwen trying to comfort Teddy.

NOAH

Come on Gwen, it's best to let him be right now

GWEN

Ok

NOAH

Say, why don't you come with me to pick up Max from school?

GWEN

(Smiles)

Ok Noah

She gets into Noah's car. They go to Max's school. Max comes out of school and is surprised to see Gwen in the car but accepts to sit in the backseat. Noah drops Gwen back at her house.

Ext. Gwen house night

Noah drops off Gwen at her house. She offers that they come in and keep her company for awhile.

GWEN

Would you guys like to come in for something to drink?

Noah

No it's ok we were going to go to the cafe to grab something to eat. You wanna come?

GWEN

No its ok I've got a lot of work to do

Noah

(Chuckles)

Oh ok, well goodnight Gwen

Gwen

Night

Gwen goes in her house as she lets her dog in. Noah drives off to the cafe.

Int. cafe night

The cafe is not to crowded but enough for a goods night money. Noah and Max enter the cafe and is greeted by Jacqui.

JACQUI

Hey guys! you made it, I'm so glad

NOAH

So do we just pick a seat?

JACQUI

Yep

Noah picks a seat as they sit down.

Max

Wow, its pretty crowded huh?

JACQUI

Yeah it's never been this busy, well the boss will sure be happy

NOAH

(Laughs)

Yeah

JACQUI

So what can I get you two?

NOAH

Oh just two grill cheese sandwiches

JACQUI

Alright, my famous grill cheese sandwich coming up

Jacqui goes to make the sandwiches as the crowded starts to die down.

Max

Wow, that sure did die down

Jacqui comes back with their sandwiches.

She sits down with them and watches them eat.

It's amazing! The best I ever had

Jacqui laughs as she gets up.

JACQUI

I thought so, there not my famous grilled cheese sandwiches for nothing

Jacqui start to clean up.

NOAH

Max

Noah leaves the money on the table.

JACQUI

Oh ok, see ya!

They leave. Jacqui is cleaning the grill when she hears a soft voice.

CARVER

(V.O)

Jacqui replys without looking back.

JACQUI

I'm sorry we're closed now...

CARVER

Jacqui... I'm not behind you...

Jacqui quickly looks back. no one is there.

JACQUI

(Scared)

Hello? Who's there?!

CARVER

(V.O)

Did you enjoy the circus? Jacqui

JACQUI

(Gasps)

It was you! you killed Sophie!

CARVER

(V.O)

Yeah (chuckles) I did...

Jacqui gasps as she remembers Sophie saying something.

Cuts to flashback.

EXT. CAFE- MORNING

Sophie and Teddy finishes their vegetarian breakfast and see the news paper article about the mentally ill escapee. They go out of the cafe to greet Gwen.

Teddy

Hey Gwen, when did you get here?

Gwen

Oh not too long ago, how are you?

Teddy

I'm fine but I don't know about Sophie

Gwen

Flashback ends.

INT. CAFE NIGHT

Jacqui snaps out of the flashback and realizes something.

JACQUI

Y-you're the mentally ill patient!

Caver appears in the hall in front of Jacqui very angry.

CARVER

I'm not crazy!

Carver's mood swings to happiness as he smiles Jacqui stares at him with horror in her eyes.

CARVER

(Cont.)

Jacqui? do I scare you? (maniacal laughs)

Carver laughs as he walks closer to Jacqui as he grabs her head and throws her on the burning grill as she screams.

Int. cafe day

A group of cops are taking pictures of Jacqui's dead body. Jacqui's face was completely burned off, a skin outline of her hands are on the grill  and her hands  were cut off. Noah and Gwen were there in horror.

NOAH

I can't believe this happened I was just here

GWEN

This is just awful

Officer Kurt walks up to Gwen.

OFFICER Kurt

Gwen, I'm sorry it seems as though she was pushed on a lit grill and then her hands were burned and tore off. No whereabouts of where the hands are

Noah walks to a pot of coffee. His face drops in disgust. One of Jacqui's burned hands is swimming in the pot of coffee.

NOAH

F-found one

OFFICER Kurt

What?!

Officer Kurt runs to the pot and quickly looks away. His eye glances at the display of food and sees a plate of salad with Jacqui's hand cut up. Gwen manages to follow his eyes and sees Jacqui's hand.

GWEN

(Gasps)

Oh my god!

OFFICER KuRT

This isn't safe it's obvious that someone is after your group of friends, I want you to call them right away

GWEN

Ok!

Gwen gets out her cell phone and calls her friends.

NOAH

Who do you think is doing this officer?

OFFICER Kurt

If I had to make a guess, I'd say Carver

NOAH

Carver?

OFFICER Kurt

The mentally ill patient that escaped the facility

NOAH

(Gasps)

Sophie said something about that before we went to the circus the other day!

OFFICER Kurt

Circus?! Its definitely him then we have to get you guys somewhere safe

Gwen hangs up her phone.

GWEN

They didn't answer it

OFFICER Kurt

This is not good!

NOAH

Officer! My little brother is still in school he could be in trouble!

OFFICER Kurt

Ok you two get in my car I'll take you there

They run into Officer Kurt's police car.

Int. School day

Max is in his English class. He's about to fall asleep from how boring it is. He decides that he might be able to skip class his he goes to the bathroom. Max raises his hand.

MAX

Miss,can I go to the bathroom?

Max runs out of the room and goes into the bathroom. He picks a urinal and urinates. Max talks to himself.

MAX

Man that class is dull, I'd rather be anywhere but there

Max finishes urinating. He flushes the urinal and washes his hands. He hears someone call him softly.

CARVER

(V.O)

Maxie boy...

MAX

(Scared)

Huh? Is someone in here?

Max looks under the empty stalls.

MAX

(Cont.)

Oh someones playing a trick on me, ha ha very funny guys

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh it's no trick Maxie boy, the circus, Sophie, Jacqui

MAX

T-the circus? W-what about Sophie and Jacqui?

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh they're dead, Maxie boy

MAX

(Scared)

What?!

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh yes very much dead Maxie boy

Max

L-leave me alone!

Max runs out of the bathroom and runs down the hall.

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh running? (chuckles) Who you running from kid? I'll find you no matter what, You'll feel my parents' pain

Max

P-parent's pain?

CARVER

(V.O)

Just go to your locker

MAX

What?! why?

CARVER

(V.O)

Don't you want to leave school

Max runs to his locker trying to run away from Caver. Max opens his locker. Carver grabs him as he screams.

CARVER

Do I scare you! (Maniacal laugh)

Carver pulls Max into his locker. Max screams. The police car pulls into the nearest parking spot as Noah runs out of the car and Gwen follows him. They search for Max when Officer Kurt sees a puddle of blood near Max's locker.

OFFICER Kurt

Noah, there!

Noah quickly runs to Max's locker as it opens. Max's body falls out. Max was skinned to death with his eyes plucked out and stuffed into his mouth. They fell out as his body crashed down.

GWEN

(Screams)

Oh my-!

NOAH

(Crying)

No! No! Max No!!

OFFICER Kurt

(Sad)

We were too late

Noah puts Max's skinned body on his lap.

NOAH

M-max... no...

Officer Kurt calls for a bus to pick up max's body.

OFFICER Kurt

Gwen, let's give Noah some time alone

GWEN

(Sad)

Ok

Gwen and Officer Kurt go outside to talk.

OFFICER Kurt

This is definitely Caver who's the murder

GWEN

Carver?

OFFICER Kurt

He's a mentally ill patient that escaped the facility and killed people who went to circuses

Gwen

I see, it is him. We should warn the others!

Officer Kurt

Who else went with you?

Gwen

Well, Noah, Teddy, and Heather

Officer Kurt

We should get them and bring them to safety

Gwen

But they didn't answer their phones

Officer Kurt

Do you know where they live?

Gwen goes back in the school to get Noah but he declines her and says he'll stay with Max for a little longer. Gwen rushes back to the cop car as they quickly take off to find the other two.

Ext. Teddy's house night

The police car arrives at Teddy's house as Gwen rushes to his door and bangs on it but Teddy is not home. They rush to go see if Heather is home. Teddy walks home from the bakery with loafs of bread.

Teddy

Don't worry Sophie, I'm going to make our favorite. French toast, but french toast has eggs and we're vegetarians right, Sophie? I guess I can't make that. So what can I make with bread?

As Teddy walks home and ponders what to make he hears a soft voice.

CARVER

(V.O)

Teddy...

TEDDY

Sophie? Is that you? are you finally talking to me?

CARVER

(V.O)

No you idiot! It's me... her killer

Teddy

(Gasps)

It's you, bastard! I'll kill you!

Teddy drops the bags of bread he was carrying and searches for Carver.

Teddy

(Cont.)

Where the hell are you bastard, come out be a man!

CARVER

(V.O)

Be a man? (Chuckles) you surely want to kill me, then do it

Carver appears behind Teddy in the corner.

Teddy

Where are you bastard?!

CARVER

Behind you

Teddy turns around a punches the air. Carver disappeared.

CARVER

(V.O cont.)

Oh too slow you must have played shortstop

Teddy

(Growls)

Where the hell are you!

CARVER

(V.O)

Check your... house

Teddy

(Angry laughs)

Oh now you've done it freak your dead!

CARVER

I'm not a freak!

Teddy runs to his house and opens the door as Carver is standing in the doorway with his pairing knife. Teddy jumps back.

CARVER

Do I scare you! (Maniacal laugh)

Teddy is pulled into his house as door shuts.

Ext. Heather's House night.

The police car reaches Heathers house and bangs on the door. Heather answers it in tears.

HEATHER

(Crying)

Hello?

GWEN

Oh my god Heather what happen?

Heather

Nothing!

Heather wipes away the tear.

HEATHER

(Cont.)

I was just watching a sad movie

GWEN

"The Notebook"?

Heather

(Taken back)

Y-yeah

GWEN

Well you have to come with us!

Heather

What? why?

GWEN

There's a murderer out here looking for you

Heather

What?!

Heather goes with Gwen into the police car. They drive back to Teddy's house. Gwen and Officer Kurt barges in. They find Teddy. Teddy has been hacked to pieces and scattered everywhere in the house.

GWEN

Too late again!

OFFICER Kurt

This is a mess

Heather comes in a sees Teddy's hacked up body and screams.

Heather

Oh my god!

Heather throws up.

OFFICER Kurt

Now where's the head

Gwen and Officer Kurt searches for Teddy's head while Heather sees a boiling pot. She opens it and sees Teddy's boiled head. She screams and runs out. Gwen tries to stop her.

GWEN

Wait H-Heather! We should stay together!

OFFICER Kurt

I take it she found the head

Heather runs outside and Gwen runs after her. Heather runs frantically in the streets.

Heather

He's coming for me! I know it! He's going to kill me!

As Heather runs she hears Carver's soft voice.

CARVER

(V.O)

Heather...

Heather

(Gasps)

No! Leave me alone!

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh come on Heather, you called Sophie a baby now look at you (chuckles) pathetic!

Heather

(Yelling)

Just go away!

Gwen manages to catch up to Heather. Gwen sees her talking to herself.

Heather

(Cont.)

Leave me alone I don't want to die!

CARVER

(V.O)

Oh but you must, you must die for your sins

GWEN

H-Heather, who are you talking to?

Heather

S-sins?

CARVER

(V.O)

Yes sins, the sin of laughing at clowns they're not funny!

Heather

G-Go away leave me alone!!

Heather runs into the street as a buss comes by.

GWEN

No! Heather!!

Heather

Huh?

Heather gets hit by the buss as it screeches to a stop. Gwen and the buss drive go to Heathers body in a panic. Caver steps out from the shadows.

CARVER

Hmm? died already? That wasn't much fun, no vengeance from me. (looking up) don't worry I'll get the next one mommy, daddy

Carver disappears into the shadows as Officer Kurt reaches up to Gwen.

OFFICER Kurt

Gwen! What happened?

GWEN

S-she just ran out in front of the buss, she was like acting paranoid

OFFICER Kurt

I see...

GWEN

This won't end

OFFICER Kurt

Yeah, and it's already night

GWEN

Yeah, Kurt could you take me home?

OFFICER Kurt

Hmm, no you should stay with me I can protect you

GWEN

Ok, but what about Noah?

OFFICER Kurt

Call him tell him we'll pick him up

GWEN

Ok

Gwen calls Noah's cell phone. It rings a few times til Noah picks up.

NOAH

It's late you should come with Kurt he can protect us

NOAH

(O.P)

No Gwen it's ok I- I think I'm all set with dieing

GWEN

What?!

NOAH

(O.P)

Look don't worry about me I want to stay with Max a little longer

GWEN

Just promise me you'll be safe

NOAH

(O.P)

Noah hangs up the phone.

OFFICER Kurt

Well? What did he say?

GWEN

He said he wanted to stay with Max a little longer

Gwen gets into the police car as they take off to Kurt's house. Carver comes out of the shadows.

Carver

Ah, going to his house huh? (chuckles)

Carver casually walks behind the building.

Int. Kurt's house night.

The police car reaches Kurt's house. They go inside.

OFFICER Kurt

Well here it is

Gwen looks around.

GWEN

Well, you got a nice place Kurt

OFFICER Kurt

Really? Thanks it gives me shelter

GWEN

Yeah?

OFFICER Kurt

You don't have to worry Gwen

GWEN

I know

Outside of his house, Carver is watching them through the window up in a tree.

CARVER

Seeking shelter in here huh? (chuckles) you really think you can hide from me? You'll receive you punishment Gwen

Kurt gets closer to Gwen.

OFFICER Kurt

I'll always protect you, you know

GWEN

I know

They both lean in and kiss each other on the lips passionately. Carver witness this in the tree.

CARVER

Ooh will you look at that Mommy, Daddy. They're in love (chuckles)

Gwen falls asleep on Kurt's bed. He covers her with blankets as he sleeps on the chair next to the bed.

INT. BEDROOM-MORNING

Gwen wakes up to the smell of bacon. She finds her way to the kitchen. Kurt is making eggs and bacon.

OFFICER Kurt

Oh, morning!

GWEN

Breakfast?

OFFICER Kurt

Yeah, I'm making eggs, want some?

GWEN

Yeah

Officer Kurt gets out two plates and puts some eggs and some bacon on it and sets it at the table. He sits down with Gwen and eats.

OFFICER Kurt

How is it?

GWEN

It's delicious

Gwen starts to cry.

OFFICER Kurt

Hey, Gwen what's wrong?

GWEN

(Sad)

It's just the way my mom used to make them

OFFICER Kurt

Oh, I'm sorry

GWEN

No, it's ok

As they continue to eat Gwen's cell phone starts to ring. Gwen answers it. Its Noah, he wants her to visit him at the cemetery. Gwen and Kurt drives to the cemetery.

Ext. Cemetery day

The police car arrives at the cemetery. Noah is sitting on the ground in front of Max's grave. Gwen walks up to him.

NOAH

(Sadly)

I just wanted to be there for him

GWEN

I know Noah

NOAH

I just can't leave him...

GWEN

Were you attacked?

NOAH

No, you?

GWEN

No, you should come with us Officer Kurt has a place we could stay that's safe

NOAH

No, you go I'll be fine

GWEN

I'm not leaving without you!

NOAH

Then, just give me a moment with Max alone then

GWEN

Ok

Gwen walks back to the car with Kurt. Kurt calls his colleagues who are at a work trip to a lard factory. They tell him they had to store their guns in the storage closet because the faculty didn't want them to have it. He hangs up the phone.

OFFICER Kurt

Ok they're all there

GWEN

Where are they?

OFFICER Kurt

The rest of my colleagues are at a trip to a lard factory

GWEN

Why didn't you go?

OFFICER Kurt

I had to protect you

GWEN

(Smiles)

So it will be safe there?

OFFICER Kurt

Yeah cause If he attacks they'll be tons of cops there. There will be no way he could escape.

Noah sits in front of Max's grave crying. He hears footsteps behind him. Carver stands behind him.

NOAH

So it's finally my turn now? Kill me already!

CARVER

(Calmly)

So you realize you sins?

NOAH

Just kill me already (cries) I want to be with my little brother

CARVER

(Calmly)

Fine then, before I do I want to know something

NOAH

What?

CARVER

(Calmly)

I want to know, do I scare you?

Noah turns angry.

NOAH

I'm not going to play your twisted game you sick freak!

Carver gets very angry, he takes a shovel and whacks Noah in the head with it.

CARVER

(Angry)

I'm not a sick freak!

Carver's mood swings to sadness as he talks to his dead parents.

CARVER

(Sad)

I'm not a sick freak am I Mommy, Daddy? I just want to avenge you, there's nothing wrong with that, right?

Carver's mood swings again to anger.

Carver

(Mad)

Why won't you ever talk to me?!

Carver gets so angry he bangs the shovel on Noah's head. Gwen and Officer Kurt walk back to where Noah was. Noah is laying on the ground with his head bashed in.

GWEN

No!

OFFICER Kurt

What the-?

GWEN

I was just here a few minutes ago, h-how did he die?

OFFICER Kurt

It's obvious that Carver is very stealthy, come on Gwen we need to go now!

Gwen wipes a tear from her eye as they take off to the Lard Factory.

Int. Lard Factory day.

They reach the Lard factory. They get out and quickly run to the gate. They lift it up. As they enter they see All the cops and faculty dead on the ground and Carver standing above them.

OFFICER Kurt

Wha-?

Carver turns around covered in blood.

CARVER

Hello Gwen, Seems as though you came to me (chuckles)

GWEN

W-what did you do?

CARVER

Huh? w-well they attacked me it's sad seeing innocent people dieing you know Gwen

GWEN

(Scared)

H-How do you know my name?

CARVER

(Chuckles)

I suppose before I punish you for your sins, I can tell you a story. W-why don't you take a seat it might take awhile

GWEN

Shut up! Just tell me!

CARVER

Alright alright, pushy (chuckles) when... I was ten my parents and I went to the circus. My sister as usual didn't care about the family and went to collage. So anyway, at the circus, there was tons of clowns, very frightening. It was all over and we went home, though my parents didn't know that one of the clowns followed us home. He killed my parents right in front of me, me being 10 couldn't do much but cry like a little baby. He came up to me and with his high pitched voice said " Aw what's the matter little kid, don't cry. Do I scare you"? He then patted my head and left. I was stuck alone for a month until Child services got there and placed my to a new family. I was stuck with them for... six years till something happened-

GWEN

Happened?

CARVER

Shut up! Don't interrupt! (inhales) You know now I lost my place

OFFICER Kurt

Something happened

CARVER

Ah, yes thank you. Six years till something happened, I just... snapped. I killed my foster family. I guess one of them made a scream as I tore them apart that the cops came and arrest me. On my trail they change my charges and told me to plied ...insanity, which I'm not!... so I was stuck in the mental facility till about a year I broke out (Chuckles) So I went on my path for revenge. First came the clown that killed my parents. Turns out he OD. (Chuckles) Next was my beloved sister who didn't care much. Though she died in a car accident

GWEN

What?!

CARVER

That's right Gwen!

GWEN

(Startled)

U-Uncle Carter?

CARVER

(Chuckles)

Yeah... And then I found that she had a daughter, Gwen, and I thought you'll do perfectly

GWEN

But why kill my friends?!

CARVER

(Angry)

Cause they're sinners! Thinking clowns are funny, well they're not! They're creepy horrible creatures that tear families apart!

GWEN

N-no

CARVER

(Chuckles)

Look Mommy and Daddy! Look at how great of a son I've become! I'll make all these sinners know your sufferable pain! (Maniacal laugh)

GWEN

(Frighten)

Y-You belong in a mental facility Uncle Carter!

CARVER

(Growls)

I'm not crazy!! (Screams)

Carver lunges at Gwen. Gwen quickly takes the empty gun from Officer Kurts belt and tries to shoot Carver.

Gwen

Wha-?

Officer Kurt

I don't keep it loaded

Officer Kurt jumps in front of Gwen as Carver stabs him in the arm.

Officer Kurt

Gwen! Up stairs in the closet are the guns run!

Gwen starts to run up the stairs.

Carver

Where do you think you're going, huh?!

Carver runs after Gwen.

Officer Kurt

Run Gwen!

Officer Kurt sees a gun at the corner of his eye and quickly grabs it and sees its loaded. Carver meets up with Gwen, he pushes her on the bridge and kicks her in the stomach. Gwen grabs his leg and throws him off her. Gwen tries to run away but Carver gets up. Officer Kurt points the gun.

Officer Kurt

Gwen get down!

As Officer Kurt shoots the gun, Carver runs to Gwen. The bullet hits one of the support poles for the bridge as the right side collages. Gwen, falling, grabs onto the ledge as Carver grabs her leg.

Gwen

(Screams) 

Let me go!

Officer Kurt quickly runs up the stairs to get to Gwen.

CARVER

(Chuckles)

Ready Mommy?!

Carver stabs Gwen in the leg. Gwen screams in pain. She then kicks him in the head causing him to fall of the bridge with is two stories up. Officer Kurt manages to reach Gwen and pulls her up.

OFFICER Kurt

Are you ok Gwen?

Gwen holds on to her wounded bleeding leg.

GWEN

I think I'll be fine-

Carver jumps on Officer Kurt's back and stabs him in the shoulder. Kurt throws him on another bridge.

OFFICER Kurt

Gwen, get out of here, take the gun get onto the platform!

Gwen quickly takes the gun and runs to the platform. Carver gets up.

CARVER

(Chuckles)

What you gonna do huh? you have no gun, you're worthless. Right Daddy a man is worthless without a weapon?... or was it a man is worthless with a weapon?

Officer Kurt punches Carver in the face as Carver lunges at Kurt trying to stab him. Kurt moves as Carver cuts one of the support poles causing the bridge to collapse. Kurt and Carver fall into a big container of lard.

GWEN

No! Kurt!!

Officer Kurt punches Carver in the face as Carver dunks Kurt under the lard as he pulls Carver under as well.

GWEN

Kurt?!

In the lard Kurt strangles Carver. Carver tries to scratch him with his nails. Carvers body sinks to the bottom of the container. Kurt swims back up, Carver grabs his leg and smiles. Kurt kicks him in the head snapping his neck.

GWEN

(Worried)

Kurt? Kurt? Officer Kurt?!

Officer Kurt surfaces from the lard coughing.

GWEN

(Sighs)

Thank god

OFFICER Kurt

(Chocking)

I-It's all over...

As Officer Kurt tries to get out of the container, Carver jumps up at him with his pairing knife. Officer Kurt screams.

CARVER

(Gasps for air)

Do I scare you?? (Maniacal laughs)

Gwen quickly without thinking pulls the trigger and shoots Carver in the head as brain particles shoot out into the lard, snapping his neck fully as his body sinks in the lard.

GWEN

(Breathing heavily)

N-Now it's over...

Officer Kurt gets out of the container as they both, badly brushed, walk out of the Lard Factory holding each other. The End.
