- What Tomorrow Needs- by Keaton Foster What tomorrow needs Is not today Yet a lifetime away Far beyond the grave Beyond all possible change In a distant place that we You and I could never Hope to escape In a prison devoid of skin Confined to a castle founded in sin With Iron gates standing tall And walls that reach to the sky Who built it is not clear Each stone Was placed with great care Each adornment Was crafted with considerable detail All resemblance to those inside Can be inferred Who resides inside Will be a matter of fact All inside will know each other well Each dark truth and circumstance Will be spelled out across their chest Unable to conceal Unable to wear garments All will be naked All will be absolute In such a place as the one faced What tomorrow needs will not be Because there will be no tomorrow Only now in a place where Time does not truly exist Meaning holds no precedence Life is a quickly fading memory For those who are no longer alive It is something else for those Who have always been dead They will be home Beyond skin and bones In a castle of a kingdom with no king In a prison where there are no guards Just each other to keep Just each other to judge Look what we have all done Look what we have all become Whisperings, "pay the price as I do!" Will be heard loud and clear Crooked fingers will be pointed in jest No one will laugh But all will certainly cry A tear for themselves And a river for those That they have forever left behind What tomorrow needs Is not today It will never be Or so I dare scream I could be wrong Or I could be right Only death, both yours and mine Will confirm such a plight… What Tomorrow Needs Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012 Biography
