Dragon's Call: a Poem
Softly slither through the night Make way lightly, path of fright Rider's victim, soon to sight Dragon's whisper in the moonlight Flying lizards drawn to the sky Feathery wings to make them fly Dusk's dark sheath, a battle cry Quickly, run from enemy's wary eye Faster still, a time to keep Dragon's fire from hills so steep Peasants must not drift to sleep A mission to carry, a goal to reap We must make it to the Dragon's cave Rider's young, but yet so brave Flight so long, only to save Freedom's call, a path to pave Further still, the night moves on Aware of Dragon's brooding brawn Yes, the night will soon be gone On the edge of a new dawn
