Livi, won't you go to sleep
and rest your little eyes? Livi, don't you want to dream while life flows sweetly by? Livi, won't you try and dream of things that stoke a mind pristine-- No words for anything you see but recognized in time? Perhaps you dream in colors, then? Or feelings that are there? What subjects fill a little head that still is unaware? Could it be shapes that catch your eye? A fleeting glimpse as things go by? Your Mommy's face, or Daddy's hand, or movement of the ceiling fan? Innocence dreams innocence and dreams can set us free-- Take every opportunity to bask in purity So Livi, won't you try to sleep while life flows sweetly by? All too soon you'll long to keep the bounty of a baby's sleep, that simple lullaby.
