We trekked together through the boondocks,
Bonded by beauties unseen,
Tender, precious memories, long walks
Such beautiful places we'd been

My sweet shepherd
Decided loyalty in your eyes,
Always remembered,
Such difficult goodbyes,

Furry four-legged friend
Long since past away,
With me to the end,
Remain in my heart today.
