- Obsidian - by Keaton Foster The darkness sleeps I have finally found A certain level of peace The pain of my ways Has all been betrayed For the first time I am free of all that It means to be me A sense of relief hits me In the chest like a single brick Thrown at me By a thousand angry men I do not know any of them They have no right But such a lack of rights Will do nothing to stop them Even more In the most peculiar of ways I should be content But I am not I should be relieved I am only furthered concerned I know that a life like this The one that I now call home Was never meant to be I fear that death will soon come And take it all away How cruel it all seems I should be allowed A seconds worth of belief But for a man like me Always on the outside, looking in There will be no such case The wolf of ends creeps Ever closer he must be In the depths of blackness He is finding his way Obsidian is his name Nothingness is his only way The once crooked path of my life Has been made straight Soon he will stand At the altar of my existence Such a fate he will not betray He will come for me He will consume my soul He will rip me from home The only home That I have ever known My skin and bones When he is done He will slip back Into the idea of an existence That has never been proven People will wonder what happened People will assume that it is I That took the very life That for the first time I so desperately want to live I won't be able assure them Of an inability to do such a thing I won't be able to fight their assumptions Such accusations will go unanswered There will be nothing that I can do To let them know of the wolf And all that he did to ensure A certain, inescapable fate That has always been part of my life I knew he was coming long before now Long before all of this Happiness means nothing to him Or the ominous being he calls His true master They both must to do What has always needed to be done… Obsidian Darkness Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012 Biography
