A Dragon’s Musings
On the edge of a new dawn. A dragon youngling while tarrying is drawn. To the edge of the precipice, he doth observe, An expansive realm, he must preserve. Avra, a youthful dragon-like, perched in thought. He contemplates the destruction other dragons have wrought. His beliefs are it is time for change henceforth. He accepts the challenge to do well and go forth. Where and what are decisions he must make. He is willing, this quest, to undertake. He pledges in the name of his species to devote, Always do good and proper, constant right he will emote. His quest designed, Avra flies onward to right the sins, Of his predecessors, who reigned destructively on their whims. To himself, he pledged, “I will do my best.” To forever, be true to this quest and myself.
