Dear Me,
Last year was a great year for you. God has blessed you in many ways, but often times you do not see it, due to your depression. In June you got married to the most wonderful, Godly man. Many women wanted him, but he chose you. There must be something good in you and you must be beautiful, otherwise he wouldn’t have married you. You didn’t have to pay for a single thing at your wedding and neither did your parents. I know you were upset that most of your family didn’t come, including your mother, but at least four of your aunts came and your dad did too. They showed up on time and drove five hours to see you get married. Not only that, but your aunt’s brought you something borrowed and something blue. They also brought you gifts. When your dad saw you in your wedding dress, he hugged you and then cried. Afterwards, he walked you down the aisle. Indeed, you are truly blessed! Also at the end of the year right before Christmas you found out that you were pregnant! You have a lot to look forward to this year. You are going to be a mother! Though you lost your first child at 4 months pregnant back in 2008. God answered your prayer to have another child! There is much to be thankful for this year. So this year is the year you are going to get off your butt and fulfill your dreams and bless others in the process! So far in 2012, you have been getting slow on starting your New Year’s Goal’s. What would you like to see accomplished most? This year I would like to start walking more- not only for my health but for the health of the baby. Plus, it will make giving birth easier! Not only do I want to start walking more, but I want to eat healthier. I want to add more veggies and fruit to my diet, and cut back on the junk food. I also want to start cooking for my hubby more. So far I have cut back on the caffeine and been taking my prenatal’s almost every day (missed a few days). Also this year I would love to kick my nicotine habit that I have had for 4 years. It isn’t healthy for you or baby. You have done well at cutting back the amount you use during the day. I do plan on writing more. I make it my goal to write 15 minutes at least every day. Not only that but I would like to read more scripture and focus more on my relationship with God and my hubby. Those are vital to my well-being! I think I am going to start writing letters to God every day. If a little boy can do it and change someone’s life in the process, so can I. There are so many things I want to accomplish that it would take days to write out all the goals to myself. I would love to spend more time with my family and friends, stop isolating myself, and do one unexpected thing for one person during the day. It’s time to make a difference and bless someone this year. Live like each day is your last because God does not promise tomorrow. Your uncle’s funeral yesterday spoke that into your heart. Remember to prepare for your move and start packing one box at least every day, and save all the money you can. You and your husband will need to find a house and get a rental truck. Just think next time this year you will be living in the area you love most and be closer to other family and friends. One last thing, start writing letters to those people who mean the most to you even if they do not write back. Tell them how much you love them every day, whether it’s a phone call or text. You are precious and beautiful, and valuable to the Most High God. Allow Him to shape your life. Most of all remember that through Christ all things are possible! Jeremiah 29:11-12 701 words
