-Where is Your God- by Keaton Foster Where is your God Why has he gone How could he leave you So very much alone. In a world full of wolves He should have known And if he did, would it Have made any difference. Protecting you long before You learned to protect yourself Should have been The highest of his priorities. Why it was not Concerns you less and less I admire your blind devotion Your unwillingness to relent. Your faith is quite strong Your will is unbreakable You are sure that when life ends You will know what comes next. What you will do with such knowledge And how what you seek will become yours Will mean nothing to those of us Living on the other side of the fence. Where is your God Such a being cannot be doomed By the actions of his ways But for you, in truth I fear that is not the case. You will pay if you have not lived Within the confines of his grace You will suffer for your mistakes Little will change between life and death. Some have said that being dead means nothing And that being alive is our everything Such a concept goes against the grain And the doctrines of your faith. Where is your God Simple, such a question seems Impossible to answer By any and all means. Your faith must be blind Clarity and causality are one and the same You cannot and should not see what is real Just as he intended life to be. Upon a stack of books your dare scream My God loves me so much That he set me completely free Shattering the binds of my needs. Just as quick you returned to his embrace You pay homage to his ideals Lending an ear to his voice Propagating the lessons of his kind. Where is you God Is nothing that you need to know Because for you such a thing Is as pointless as the wind. But to you I must confess That all things have a point You, me, the wind, all mean something Within the confines of our everything. Everything, such an innocuous word The sum of all that we know And all that we certainly don't And all that we can speculate. Where is your God I am sure that you know And if you don't I am certain that you act As if you do… Where is Your God Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012 Biography
