-Upon This Liar's Chair- by Keaton Foster Here I sit Doing this Writing Fighting to Live Certainly dying Struggling to express The pain that I feel How could this all be Is something often said It seems there is no answer Each new day I find my place I am driven in such an impossible way I cannot deny this heart I cannot betray my mind Upon this liar's chair I sit, I confess, I express There is much to be said Even more to be set free from within I've done so many terrible things I am not proud, nor am I ashamed Survival has always been my agenda From the moment that I was born Until now, and certainly beyond I have and will do what it takes No one should blame me For doing what I feel I must No one except for me that is I wear my mistakes like scars They run quite deep To the bone, easily they go A wasteland full of those known To me will always remain In the wake of my case Lay the shattered ruins of their existence I would feel for them if I could I know that I must move on One foot in front of the other One painful expression to the next I don't hate this world How could I ever I don't hate my life Such a livable feast of ideas and experiences I only hate what I have become I tell tales of truth, based on lies I tell stories of the end Like they are new beginnings I lead strangers down paths That I know they would never go Once they are where I want them I dazzle them with a display of all that Human beings are capable of I leave them changed in irrevocable ways Good, bad, or indifferent is no concern of mine I am sure that they find their way back At least that is my deepest of hope If they become lost in the wilderness Full of creatures that I create Then for them I will always pray It is such a hellish place of impossible change A place beyond the mind and the hands of time A place of thoughts and ideals flayed open A forest of frightening concepts brought to life No one is safe, most of all those who see What is hidden within the bends and breaks Of my way of expressing all that I know Upon this liar's chair I sit Confessing all that I am and all that know I tell tales of truth, based on lies I tell stories of the end Like they are new beginnings I will continue as I always have Long after my death these words And the journey they represent will remain Some will learn from them, others will not Some will be sacrificed, others will escaped unharmed Some will be changed, and many will remain… Upon This Liar's Chair Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012 Biography
