Two from one Seed

There once were a brother and sister true,

Who from just one seed they grew.

The girl, tall with a head of pure fire,

The boy, surrounded by a light sans expire.

She became known as the passionate Sol,

Whose determination and fury protected us all.

Luna was he with the radiant glow,

Whose wisdom and love all would soon know.

Circumstance called them far from each other,

And wars were soon waged that neither could smother.

Luna, with respect for life his priority,

Wished for an end to the death and disparity.

Sol, whose passion grew quickly to anger,

Believed that war was their only answer.

Luna, now desperate to rescue his sister,

Refused to do battle, he chose not to resist her.

Sol was consumed by her immeasurable power,

But her reign was reaching its latest hour.

For humble Luna’s love became his priority,

And it broke all bonds of fraternity and sorority.

Luna learned he was a reflection of his sibling,

But only enough to end all their quibbling.

There was a great battle that shaped the great earth,

They took from the ground, not knowing their berth.

Sol, wielding the anger of a blade,

Luna, the virtue of the mage.

Their battle hit climax high up in heaven,

Where the two learned just where they were headin’.

The battling ceased and they both right there knew,

Exactly what it was they had to do.

Sol, her fiery passion unending,

Moved far away, his power extending.

She now provides light and warmth to this land,

Yet she still will follow no command.

Luna remained just where he sat,

Reflecting from Sol, as he did in the past.

He provided the nighttime with a radiant glow,

And they both watch over this land that we know.
