In the Beginning

In the beginning God knew me before I existed.
He knew my problems, my circumstance,
my humor….no matter how twisted.
He knew all this and chose to love me anyway.
He sent his son to die for me,
and allowed me the chance to live another way.
I do not deserve the chance I’ve been given,
nor do I deserve the love I receive;
but I will gladly take it all with arms wide open.
I’m grateful for all he has given me.
The idea that the wonders of the universe and all things on earth
are all by chance is something I cannot conceive.
I know that he always had a plan,
and that plan included me.
