Do you ever know the True meaning of Black History month?

Well it's not just because we celebrate the people who changed the Black community for us now and for them so they could live a better life. To remember the hard work and the pain and the unfair ways they put up with. They just didn't do it for them self's they did it for the Future Generation too. Not just for them.

They also didn't give up with out a fight, they worked until they got the freedom they deserved. I'm only 13 and already see it in the way they saw it. All these people might have wanted to give up at sometime but they didn't, they kept on working till they got what they wanted freedom for the Black community. Did martin Luther King Jr. give up when he was thrown in jail for protesting and marching, did Rosa Parks give up when she was thrown off the bus and put in jail. Did Jackie Robinson quit the team because his own team mates tried to strike him out, and go on strikes, Did Harriet Tubman give up to free the slaves when they wanted to give up, NO. So why should us now try to give up when were going for a goal. If all those people didn't give up for our freedom why should we. These people wanted to be treated equal and not treated like a bunch of animals like they were treated no, so learn from this and never give up. Celebrate and Honor what they did for us, because without them we wouldn't have the rights we have now. So celebrate this month, you know what celebrate it all year because that was a time to remember.
