Just One Time
by Steve
Rated: E | Poetry | Family | #1845814
We lost an unborn child before our two daughters were born. We just lost another.
Daddy’s little babies,
I love with all my heart.

Taken away to Heaven
before their lives could start.

Each had a personality,
had a face, would have a name.

They would have shared their love with me,
and been loved back just the same.

I wish for one thing only
before Heaven’s stairs they climb.

To hold in my own arms,
my babies, just one time.

I'm happy to announce that since I've written this poem we have accidentally gotten pregnant again.
We're praying for a healthy baby this time.
