Scientific Satire and fact.
I have solved the carbon dioxide problem!!!!!!!! Please, read my scientific plan to reduce our carbon dioxide. To have a babe, you must purchase carbon tax credits. You see, according to a study by the United States Department of Agriculture, an average person's respiration generates approximately 450 liters (roughly 900 grams) of carbon dioxide per day. With the population of the world at ~ 6.7 Billion, we produce two billion, three hundred eighty seven million, eighty eight thousand, tons (US) of carbon dioxide, a year. (2,387,880,000) The electric generation in the United States produces 2,514,180,480 tons (US) of carbon dioxide a year. (2009) Since exercising makes, a larger carbon footprint, than at rest, then exercising must be bad for us! Reduce population- growth!!! Reduce carbon dioxide output... Hey, when the blackout happened in New York, didn’t the birth rate increase? (Candles are so romantic). Maybe, the increased birth rate is part of the carbon dioxide problem we have been experiencing. I see a solution. Reduce the population down to one person, and we have just about reduced the carbon dioxide level to, were we won’t have the problem of global-warming any longer! Yes!!!!!!!! Oops, I believe we have another problem, something about two by two. I know some of you are probably not old enough to remember President Jimmy Carter in the seventies. Just to catch you up with some old news, the President along with oil, and government officials stated that we would be out of natural gas. What would T. Boone Pickens say about, President Jimmy Carter’s statement, and I quote from a newspaper article; “We will run out of natural gas unless strict conservation is observed!” Do not get me wrong, I believe we have to protect our environment, but we have to use real science, not people who have ulterior motives telling us half-truths or just flat out lying! This is just one instance, but you can see how the oil companies manipulated the market to have government controls released, allowing energy price to be controlled by Wall Street. Do you see the hypocrisy in this? President Jimmy Carter created, well… Let me put this way, does anybody out there have any memory of the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY? Well I am going to tell you. The Department of Energy was instituted 8-04-1977 to wean us off our dependency on foreign energy. Their number one mandate and I quote, Energy Security: Promoting America’s energy security through reliable, clean, and affordable energy. End of quote. Instead of The Department of Energy controlling our domestic cost, and production of energy, we let Wall Street control our cost, and we know whom they are looking out for, their own corrupt pockets!!!!! By the way,,, we've have spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency the reason for which a single person who reads this can’t remember, and at the time everybody thought it very appropriate. It’s 2009, 32 YEARS LATER, AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS NECESSARY DEPARTMENT IS AT $24.2 BILLION A YEAR, THEY HAVE 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES, AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES, AND LOOK AT THE JOB THEY HAVE DONE! THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD, AND SAY, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? We thought we had people looking out for our domestic interests, not to line their pockets with our money. If we don’t demand elections by us voting on the issues, and continue to let a few control this country, then we are doomed. We have instant communications; this is not the 1700’s, with little or no communication when we had to send someone to Washington to vote on issues affecting us. We can vote on these issues using the internet, which we already file our taxes, banking, purchases with, and we have instant communication. Let us put a stop to this craziness, let the Majority rule once more, and become a country truly for the people by the people, again. I know we have to have people running day-to-day operations, like security of this country, but when it comes to voting on which direction this country is going, then we all have to vote.
