The Clutter in My Head

Allan Borne

When you have so much clutter in your head, it pays to just let them out so they can stop bothering you. Story ideas, random thoughts, inner troubles, replaying music, imagined scenarios, and conversations you wished you've had, you name it. Just unload them all so you can finally get some peace of mind.

That's what I do. Hence my stash of writings (mostly unintelligble and not for public consumption) hidden at the back of my closet. Whatever gibberish was in my head are now gibberish on paper. But at least it's out of my mind, and I got hardcopies of my thoughts to look back to and ask myself "what in hell have I been thinking?"

It's a do-it-yourself therapy, a sure way to catharsis - or at least would help you get there.

That's why journals, diaries, and blogs bear whatever damage we've had the day we wrote something in them. Even our friends are not safe from the noises in our heads. Aren't one of the main reasons why we call them up or invite them for a drink is because is because we need someone to listen to us? Admit it. And yeah, I'm sure some of your friends have done that to you too.

Whatever we got bottled up inside deserves an outlet, whether that outlet be a person or thing, go ahead and let it all out. Just be creative and maybe someone would take you seriously.
