I Thank The Lord For Midnight
Jesus likes to drop in whenever, so be ready.

I thank the Lord for midnight,
It's when I see him best.
I'm too busy in the daylight,
to listen and be blessed.

He often visits at midnight,
like he did with Samuel.
I hear him calling softly,
the voice I know so well.

I said,"I'm here my Lord."
He said,"Where were you today?",
"It's easier to walk on water,
than to get you to pray!"

I told him today was sad and tiring.
He said, "I was there you know.",
"So was Satan, he was conspiring."
And that came as quite a blow.

Then I saw his heart so clearly,
and the marks I left in it,
All because he loved me dearly,
and wants to keep me from the pit.

"Oh Jesus, You're the best",
"You're much more than I deserve."
He said,"I know .Go silly and rest.",
"I'll see you ,let's say at 8 am in my Word?"

Now it's midnight and I am tranquil,
Because I have spoken with my Lord.
He protected me and I'm thankful,
He did not forget his mighty sword.
