13 January all the world seeing
ship Concordia sinking in the sea the Captain abandoning his duties, falling by mistake into the lifeboat with his rich Russians passengers paying the crew a thousand dollars. Forget about woman and children trying to swim toward the debris, the oil slick slipping and sliding washing away their memories. Why did the ship sail so near the rocky reef standing firm, tearing the hole in the side the tide forcing the waves crashing down sideways, so many innocent souls locked in cabins awash. God with mercy please heaven waits eternal, angels holding hands welcoming you home. A plaque high on the hill for the brave cabin crews, faithful duties as stewards handing out lifebelts in time if only you had stayed at home? Now too late for Captain in tears trying to justify sailing for a salute, his friends celebrating on the bridge champagne in golden crystal glasses. Time marches on for the bereaved lonely with tears their memories, intense grief drifting on the tide for the arrogance of mankind. “My decision was correct this ship will sail to orders, the reef on the charts unseen a terrible disaster haunting me. Arrested for not fulfilling my duties like the Captain of the ship Titanic, remorsefully remaining to the end even in disgrace of dying alone, confused with these thoughts how many souls died today?
