Enough is enough He charges down the hallway like a bull on fire. Into the kitchen he burst and bounces onto a chair. He is so hungry he could eat a cow but peanut butter and jelly will do. He is four; flaming red hair and a glint in his eye that could make a star want to hide. After lunch they go to the park where the sidewalk stones dance on their path. He runs to the swing and stands on the seat. “I am a birdie flying.” Crash to the ground his little body lands in the sand. A huge scream and giant tears come from his little body. His mommy goes to him and hugs him tight. There is the ice cream truck. His head pops up. That will put a smile on that face. An ice cream cone makes it all better. He comes home time for a nap. He lays his head down. Sound asleep like a baby. Enough is enough for now. 16 Lines My pome is Free Verse "PDG Poetry Workshop"
