-I Stand Alone- by Keaton Foster This world Does not know That I stand alone Without consideration Devoid of all intention A carelessly planned ascension Has taken place. I am the bottom rung Of a ladder to outer space Below me is the past Above is everything Limited by absolutely nothing A blank canvass called oblivion. People are sure that I have all that I need And all that I could ever want They whisper behind my back Acutely aware, I hear what they say They seem jealous of me How weirdly preposterous it seems They want what they assume is mine For themselves and I am sure that They will do anything to get it. Just despite, I will not give it to them Not without a hell of a fight Not a battle of fist, weapons, and blunt instruments But a war of words and cleverly crafted ideals That is how I fight my battles That is how I will take them back down a notch. I will kick their ass Up one side of the page And down the other I will beat them to a bloody pulp Then just before they succumb To the grievous injuries inflicted I will stop and say to them In the most sincere way possible That I stand alone… I Stand Alone Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012 Biography
