The King's Goodbye

The King stood high upon his lofty stage,
Adorned in robes and garments of the times.
With passionate glee, the common engage,
He sent them a message of words and rhymes,
Merrily absolving for earthly crimes.
With jeweled fingers, he bid them goodbye,
Elvis left the building, women would cry.
