Our Love Has Grown Cold
A contest poem for writer’s cramp
2-10-12
By Lisa Noe

Prompt “ start off the poem with you are as cold as ice”

You are as cold as ice,
I remember when you where nice.
What happened between us I don’t understand,
Where once we were lovers
Now we are bland.

My feelings have never changed,
But for you our life rearranged.
I know it’s not fair,
I feel you're not there.

I miss you and our life,
For me it cuts just like a knife.
I remember with fondness of heart,
The way it was from the start.

With your loving kindness in tact,
And always knowing just how to act.
I remember the kindness we shared
but I never left you,
I never dared.
