To Believe On Him
Maybe we all have an idea of how things ought to be, but only Jesus led the way there.

To Believe On Him
by David A Johnson

It's funny how religions
encourage human birth,
and say it is Gods blessing
to add members to their church.

But then they who are preaching
support many who kill,
saying it's in Gods hands
so it must be his will.

So while they meddle in everything
with their half thought ideals,
saying surely this thing is right
according to what my God feels.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing
how they judge others these days,
saying abortion is surely murder
and God hates all the gays.

The truth is that their ignorance
helps sustain such conditions,
by confusing the way with lies
as if Jesus held such convictions.

If you consider yourself a Christian
and you are saying you are his,
then you imply you follow his way
and the same truth which only is.

Yet very few Christians seem to realize
that Jesus opposed leaders of the church,
and still two thousand years later
what he tried to end is even worse.

You see had we believed on him then
and humanity progressed in his way,
we'd of awakened to his kingdom
instead of all the BS we face today.

Instead we're still cutting off hands
pulling ears and plucking out eyes,
everybody talking about nonsense
hoping somehow the race will rise.

So while your serving up judgments
as if your serving the one you love,
how about considering just a little truth
and take a seat below the God above?
