You Over Pain When I grab for my bottle of pain relief Don't give me those eyes and don't give that grief I know you don't mean it but that's what you do The best of intentions, you don't have a clue I don't need your tears, your pity, or sorrow Makes it hard for me to strive for tomorrow I'm just trying to make it from day to day Fighting against pain, I want to go away I want to decide what is all right for me Even when I struggle, and we don't agree Give me those seconds when I might need to rest And I'll give you those moments I'm at my best It's not your help that I need most Without it through life I'm sure to coast Your love and friendship is what I hold most dear Losing mobility is nothing I fear Push me in the water and leave me to wade Instead of you always jumping to my aide Honestly not trying to push you away Right here beside me I want you to stay I may seem to get slow when getting it right But I'm not giving up without a good fight So leave me to struggle with the task at hand And be there beside me when I fight to stand
