hastened by the wind
just before the sun rose

as daybreak would
the twilight mourn - and night
for noontide grieve
forever this - a place within
was not for you
to leave
the solitude
of longing breath -
come to life as love -
was not for me
was not for you
this time of soon enough
as boughs to sway
where blooms pretend
in seeking to discover
seasons hastened by the wind
heart to wing -
to brother
essence of a golden soul
greatness to deliver
one the other
found us safe -
beyond immortal rivers
where tides have rolled
from memory -
to greet once more the dawn
was grieved by these
so truly loved -
in hours before the sun
