On the Edge of a New Dawn

On the edge of a new dawn, a lonely dragon gazed out at the vastness of a green valley.
From the brim of the great plateau, he stood in awe and wonder.
It was just a spec of time ago that this mighty dragon emerged from his silent pod, where he had been asleep until his birth.

Tears involuntarily fought to escape his weary eyes, as he pondered his existence.
Plagued with many questions for which he could not envision answers, he stood astonished.
How was it that he came to be, in a world filled with wilderness and enchantment.

His wondrous abilities seemed majestic.
He could command the powers of flight, strength, and blazing fire.
Yet, his wondrous mind seemed sorrowful.
How he deeply wished his seclusion would end.

Alas, he gazed out at the immensity of the green valley.
There must be something more out in the empty vastness.
On the edge of a new dawn, the mighty dragon understood hope and patience.
