My Dear Hourglass
This comes from the need to slow down every now and then

Upon the nightstand by my bed
There sits an antique hourglass
Now, dear, don't be fooled
This is no normal hourglass

Instead of sand falling down
It now falls up
An unsettling occurence
What a glorious mystery

But to me the meaning is lost
What is there in the past
I'm meant to see?
I don't have time to see and wonder

Ah
It is there
The message may lie
Look back
In this fast pace towards tomorrow
