One More Day
My attempt at a nonet

I never once got to hold your hand
Your family I never knew
It was not until the end
Time together was short
If only we had
Just one more day
I could have
Called you
Dad
But
Times gone
So are you
Gods got you now
We have no more days
Dreams of what could have been
What that extra day could do
Fill my head and heart with wonder
You just might have called me your daughter
