Rose

Rose embedded with fragrant tales
Laced with labyrinthine whirring braille
In thick thin of sparse rich foil beguile
Single on a stem with a promise at hem
Caught in the drift of wind,a fateful connive
Leafy floret lapse into the survive trait,its stalk
Solitary or mingled knows not its fragile cape
Flung on sand,lifted in hand,stunted affront
Unfurl,hurl or in curls,it splashes its soft spur
In cathedral,museum,cloister at palace stairs
in gardens galore,magnificent in pomp and grace
On voyage of discovery,fairies' prophecies hold water
Briar yellow,violet,black,maroon,orange ornate swoon
Reds and blues its swell,allusion altering in all deepening hues
