Why Do I
A poem I wrote for my wife

Why do I love you?

For your beauty, inside and out
For your mind, witty and smart
For your honesty, never lying once
For your compassion, always being kind
For your spirit, strong and determined
For our children, always reminding me of you

Why do I struggle?

         Because you love us both
         Because I love you both
         Because our future is uncertain
         Because change can be frightening

Why do I stay?

         The love we share
         The fun we have
         The friendship we share
         The children we have

Why?

Becase the greatest gift in my life is you.
