Black Widow

Lie waiting in darkness,
On silver, thin web.
Strong as steel cable,
Surrounding the glen.

Slick, venom and fangs,
Dark raven black.
Scarlet hourglass symbols,
Run down her back.

A lonely cold soul,
Of beauty and death.
Legs dark as coal,
On silk lighter than breath.

The black widow,
The scarlet lady.
With love cold and hollow,
Alone, silently waiting
