The Dragon and the Girl
About not placing judgment on others

A magical dragon was on the fence,
To display itself to the world.
Out there pointing and staring,
Was a three year old little girl.

The dragon’s magic was in the air,
So she kissed him on his nose.
He stood back and gawked at her,
So she kissed his little toes.

Lost in his embarrassment,
The dragon spread his wings.
For he had become nervous,
At the gifts she had to bring.

She looked at him and laughed,
At the funny things he did.
It was better than a party,
You'd have for your own kid.

He stared at her intensely,
Then allowed himself at ease.
For this little girl was bigger,
and he was to her knees.

The girl was cute and friendly,
Had a smile upon her face.
Ran around following him,
Wanting to play “chase”.

They played together for hours,
and fun is what they had.
Her mother called her to come home,
which made them both real sad.

The dragon had some magic,
Which the little girl did see.
Accepted him as her playmate,
Being she was innocent and free.

The dragon learned a lesson,
Don’t pass judgment on anyone.
Accept someone as yourself,
and allow yourself some fun.
