Dancing Moon Shadows
When the full moon’s showing And the breeze is blowing Shadows are flowing In the full moon’s glowing. They caper and they play Dancing with naught to say Even though they’re colored gray Upon the ground on which they lay. Clouds come, bringing rain Shadows disappear into another plane There’s no sign of where they’ve lain As I search for them in vain. So I wait for another night To see such a beautiful sight Wishing and hoping that I might See dancing shadows in the moonlight.
