City lights consume me.
Traffic lights to the right; Lights shinning through windows of buildings to the left, In between, the largest library in Mississippi - all lit up. From a distance spotlights radiate, Branching out toward the night's sky. Standing in the middle of the cemetery, The truth is clearly seen. A shining light looms over the headstones, Paying homage to the dead. My mind dances; I'm overwhelmed with love and truth; Past lives visit, I'm unsure of where to place them, But I know they're safe. Mine - they belong to me. A letter forms within, To someone I love with all of my being, And that I owe an explanation of my feelings to; A letter I may never get a chance to write; However, knowing what I know now, I feel the changes and embrace them.
