"Guess what?" said Sheila " You know I don't like guessing games. Just tell me already," said her best friend Laura who was giddy and anxious. "I applied for that job online and I got it!" Sheila said so ecstatic. At first, Laura was happy for her, but then got kind of concerned. "That job that you answered on craigslist? Isn't that kind of dangerous? Don't you know about the craigslist killer? New York is not always safe, you know?" "I've done my research, okay? I'm not stupid. His name is Jerry Parker and he is a huge photographer and he took pics of most celebrities like Jake Gyllenhall, Sarah Hyland, Tristan Wildes, Angelina Jolie, and many others. There was even a number on the post," said Sheila. She said that she called and everything was legit. She even used navigation on her phone to show Laura that it was not a outhouse where something can happen. "OK, but call me just in case you get in any kind of trouble. People are crazy nowadays," said Laura with caution. "I will, Mom" said Sheila jokingly. Shelia was a 22 year old college graduate and she finally got her first job since she graduated. It's good pay and all she has to do is run errands. It will be just like being at home again when her mom used to tell her to go to the store and stuff when she was in high school. How hard can it be? The next day, she woke up at 9am to get ready for her first day. She wore a cute but simple outfit so she can be subtle but professional. When she went in, it look liked there was a photo shoot, and she thought she saw Kellan Lutz and it was. She had her mouth opened and almost said hi, but nothing came out. "Are you looking for somebody," he said. "Uh...... Mr. Jerry Parker," trying to sound chill without the obvious that she is sweating bullets. He pointed to the craft table. "Are you his new assistant," he asked. "Yes," she said timidly. She just stared and could not believe that she was standing in front of him. Kellan Lutz. "Wow," she whispered. "Excuse me?" he asked. Did I just say that out loud? she thought. "Um, sorry. I just cannot believe... I love the Twilight movies and Immortals," she told him.He smiled and said thanks. Then he walked away. "Excuse me, how did you get in here?" asked a man with dark blond hair. "Are you Jerry Parker?" Sheila asked. "Yeah. Are you the girl that answered in my ad, because if you are then get me a chai latte," he demanded. "One chai latte coming up," she agreed. As three to four months went by, she started to get irritated sometimes with all the errands, but at least she got to see half naked men model and met some awesome famous people. While shooting for a Harper's Bazaar, she actually had small talk with Emma Stone. She said she loved her hair. One day, there was a photo shoot for Vogue magazine and while Sheila was setting up the craft table, the set was short on models and needed one more. Everyone else was middle aged or had a child."You", said Jerry pointing to Sheila. "Yeah?" Sheila looked worried. "What size are you?" he asked. "Medium I think" said Sheila. "Great. You'll do.Take her to makeup and wardrobe," he said in a rushed tone. Her facial expression was a I don't think so face. "Are you sure I can do this? I am not even a model," she said while people were ripping off her clothes and doing her hair and makeup."Don't worry. It's just a one time thing. If they like you, they can use more for a just in case," said Julie the hair stylist. "Ha! Yeah right," in a sarcastic voice. She came out of the dressing room in a cute red tank top with skinny jeans and the cutest boots she has ever seen. It was for an H&M ad in the magazine.Jerry led her the way to the set to the other models. He told her to have fun and look like your in love with the guy. Even though she was not a model, she tried to remember what she sees in 'America's Next Top Model'. Be fierce and smile with your eyes but don't squint so much " I still don't get that smizing crap" she thought while Jerry took their picture. She posed next to this really athletic girl and a hot fit guy and she and the athletic girl had to pretend to be fighting over him."Okay, I can do this. Just pretend he is yours and know one will take that away from you. Not even this chick," she kept thinking in her head. She just got out of her head and started to pose like she has been doing this her whole life. "Great. Very nice. Hot. Just kind of lean in for me, Sheila. Marnie, tilt your head up a little. Chris, kind of turn to Sheila and grab her arm. Perfect," as he directed, she became more and more comfortable. Then, the photo shoot was over and everyone had to go home."That's a wrap, everyone. Thank you," said Jerry emphatically Sheila stayed back to clean up a little. "You were great today," said Chris, the model she worked with. She smiled and said thanks. "So how long have you been doing this?" she asked him. "Just two years since I moved here. Are you thinking about doing this as part time, because I would like to see more of you," he said as he went closer. Is he actually flirting? Oh my gosh. Would it be unprofessional to go out with him? " I don't think so. It was fun and all but I don't see as a career for me," she said honestly as she was packing up the clothes. He said oh okay with defeat. However she told him that she would like to see more of him also. He asked her out and they went on a date. Even though she is used for some photo shoots, she still sees it as a hobby. She is still Jerry Parker's assistant.
