Degree in Depression
        by Michael R. Cox   (miccox@Writing.Com)
a brown woven belt wrapped around the artery
a green shirt guarding the skin from the buckle
a comfortable noose constricting the neck
a degree and debt without a dream of life

no entitlement for enrichment
no hope for happiness
no future for failures
no life for losers

a firm tug and five minutes
all that's needed to end all
a final solution
a sad finale

a friend more powerful than Death
a reminder of who gets hurt
a thousand tears
a resolve to live until tomorrow
