It Isn't God

It isn't God who has failed us,
but we whom have failed God.
Beneath the unbelievable story
is truth strong as an iron rod.

It isn't God who caused wars
but men whom have sought glory.
With twisted words they inspired
a perverse meaning of the story.

It isn't God who made religion
just men acting by themselves,
who tried climbing to lofty places
with their evil wicked spells.

It isn't God who put on people
things which burden us today,
but by evil in those over us
who lead so many astray.

It isn't God who makes people
do things so obviously wrong,
again it's by inherent deceptions
we aren't able to stand strong.

It isn't God who made himself
what no rational soul can trust,
so learn the truth of this quickly
before we all go bust.

So you see it wasn't him
whom allowed the thieves to rob,
just a people who've yet learned
not to accept a truth that isn't God.
