Dextoria Devengel (3)
Corrupted fate and hate starts to unravel, drawing the present near. |
| DEXTORIA DEVENGEL Chapter 3 (ZelCarter and Dezorax's Story) (A/N: The song I listened to when writing =) miss Amy lee doing Sober, accoustic verion =D http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=shugenhdviM) Chrysalis Hate (Part 1 of 2) Change of rights, lasting without a sight. Our brinks and chains still in par. Quiet as night, shifting without a sight. Cradling my nerves so tight. Envy white, bleeding on our rights. Holding us. Change of rights, lasting without a sight. White wings falling apart, your hold, we break, everything is falling apart. This is the beginning of a Chrysalis of hate. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x (December 10, 1969) Eighteen years has passed since the white delphinium lost it's petal that day in the flower shop when the devils were five. The flower lived off a energy from ZelCarter and Dezorax but over the years passing no matter how much it was given it still wilted. Miss Lily, the shop owner, died when the devils turned sixteen, but before her death she made sure Dezorax and ZelCarter promised to always visit the flower shop to make sure that her flowers were being taken care of even if her assistant was in charge. She trusted them the most, because secretly she thought of them as her grandchildren. Though as ZelCarter and Dezorax did there daily inspections of the shop it worried ZelCarter that the treasured delphinium was wilting even when they constantly gave life to it. Something was wrong. And that didn't set well with the Black Devil at all. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x There ZelCarter laid on his bed shirtless with his arm draped over his eyes, wearing black leather pants that had chains on the side, black combat boots and a silver necklace that bore a raven's head. He was twenty-three now, but from being a devil his aging hormones stopped and at the age of seventeen. He laid like this for a while, drowning deep in his thoughts. Running through every reason why the delphinium was dying. He remembered that Lily told him that the delphinium reminded her of Dezorax and ZelCarter, so knowing that it was wilting made a uneasy feeling rise in his heart. He was so lost in his thoughts he barely heard the voice that called out to him. "Is something the matter?" the sweet female voice asked. This girl constantly visited ZelCarter after he saved her from being attacked by drunken men. Her voice was as sweet and soft like an angel's, her hair was a wavy rich chocolate color like her eyes and she dressed in Indian wear, and when she blushed it flushed a beautiful shade against her peach skin. To Dezorax's pure shock ZelCarter fell in love with her after time, even though she was human just with strong empathic abilities. ZelCarter removed his arm to see her. "Hello Saeya." he propped himself on his elbows and pulled her onto his lap. "Forgive me... I... just have a few things on my mind." His voice matured over time, it was dark and smooth but just a little deep. It was something that made girls euphoric. She blushed darkly and laid her head against his bare chest. "Are y-you sure?" He closed his eyes and kissed her head. "Yes, my love. Everything... is fine." Saeya closed her eyes and let out a small sigh. She was a strong empath but she was blind when it came to the person she loved and his friend. Being devils they could mask their emotion with their power, leaving her blind to sense anything. "Alright." she whispered then leaned more into his touch. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x Teresa turned the next page of her Bible. The angel's appearance also did not change, she still looked like she was in her mid twenties, but of course being an angel her appearance wouldn't change anymore. Just as Malachai with ZelCarter she was still in charge of being Dezorax's caretaker even though he was twenty-three. Though the name 'caretaker' gained a new title when the two devils turned eighteen. 'Caretaker' turned into 'assistant'. "What is wrong dear?" She asked the blond devil who was staring outside the window. She was scolded many time by the higher-up demons because she did not address Dezorax as 'Sire' or 'master', neither she did not address ZelCarter as 'Black Devil' or 'Sire' but Dezorax took responsibility for this. He later told her that she should not address him as 'Sire' or 'Master', only address that to her Lord in heaven. Zelarter agreed. So since then she was given permission to address them as 'dear' or 'sweety' like a mother or aunt would. The White Devil sighed and sat down across from her. Dezorax changed too but not by much. His hair was still in the pony tail but it was much longer, reaching to his calves. Like ZelCarter his aging hormones had stopped, leaving him to look seventeen, though his voice was similar to ZelCarter's: dark, a bit deep but covered in silk. His style was still the opposite though; he wore white silk slacks, a white gothic blouse that was mostly seen on vampires, and he wore white heeled boots. Like his friend he wore a silver necklace but only his carried a dove's head instead. "I was thinking that... maybe... maybe it is not a good idea of me to keep staying here." he rested his chin on his knuckles staring off into space. She furrowed her eyebrows and laid her Bible down on the table. "Why say such a thing?" "ZelCarter and Saeya's relationship." he cut short. She blinked and leaned a bit back in her chair. "Explain." He closed his eyes. "Ever since he rescued her she followed him like a lost pup and he did nothing about it." he paused trying to find the right words. "They fell in love Teresa, and since then every time when I am around them I feel like I myself is the lost one." his voice was barely audible in the last word. Teresa interlaced her fingers and sighed. "Your not lost dear one, your just feeling lonely. Remember you are his f-" "Family." he finished for her. "When we were five we made a promise to each other. A promise that comes to mind every time I see them." Teresa tilted her head to the side. "A promise?" Dezorax ran his thumb over his necklace, it was a sign showing he was losing himself in his thoughts. "We were born without a mother or father, so in return we decided that we would be our own family." he looked down at his necklace. "Though when ZelCarter fell in love with Saeya he told me that she would be part of our family." The angel frowned a bit, the cogs turning inside of her head. "But why is it that when every time I see them together... I feel like.. I don't belong?" Teresa stood up and walked over to him to stroke his hair. She knew that 'loneliness' was Dezorax's weakness but being 'forgotten' nearly raked his heart out, and if she was right then the problems on his mind now was eating him alive. ZelCarter had a special relationship with Saeya and Dezorax. One was his lover and the other was like a twin. Both making up ZelCarter's heart, but explaining it to Dezorax was difficult when his mind was clouded. "Dezorax." she whispered. He rose from his seat and fixed his collar. "But let us not dwell on this. I plan to fix the situation very soon." She was going to respond to that but the abruptness of the door opening halted her words. "Sir W-White Devil, the meeting is starting." the nervous maid demon tripped over her words. Dezorax turned to her and waved her off politely. "Thank you, you may go." The maid nodded quickly and ran off leaving them behind. Teresa looked at Dezorax incredulously. "And your going, just like that? Hiding your emotion and forgetting about the subject?" He fixed the ruffles at the end his sleeves. "Indeed." he walked towards the door and pulled it open but Teresa wasn't done with this conversation. "ZelCar-" "ZelCarter will spend time with his lover. So do not interrupt him." he commanded softly. "But what of you?" He looked over his shoulder to her. "That is for me to know and you not to worry." he calmly said but spoke again before she could say anything else. "Miss Saeya is not like us. She is a human which means she won't live long enough to stay with ZelCarter. She is twenty-three years old, old enough to know this. So please, leave them be." and with that he walked out closing the door behind him, leaving a frowning Teresa alone in the room. Dezorax sighed mentally as he walked down the hall. He had made his decision already and tomorrow he would take his leave from the manor before Saeya and ZelCarter went on there trip. Of course he would have to make up a believable lie about why he left early in the day but if this plan was successful then everything would be fine. At least that's what he thinks. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x When night settled in the White Devil decided to make his move right away. There was no time to lose when treading on such thin ice. As he entered the Black Devil's chambers he had a quick flash of regret. He was going to leave him, not knowing if he would return or not. The sacrifise for Saeya's feelings cut him deep but he tried his best to ignore it. At first Teresa thought of this as a selfish idea but Dezorax explained to her at why he wanted this done. Around four months later after Saeya and ZelCarter admitted their love for each other she brought up the idea of purchasing a house and living with ZelCarter for privacy, though he declined because it wasn't that easy. But Dezorax knew there was more to it than that with Saeya. It wasn't about privacy. She knew that if ZelCarter would want privacy then he would have it and no one would bother him. Though this was another reason. Saeya didn't want the blond devil to be involved, and he knew this. Every time she would want to take ZelCarter somewhere she would always ignore the Black Devil's questions about inviting the White Devil to tag along. She would even try her best to avoid him in some circumstances. He didn't know if she was afraid of him or just hated him, and this always stressed Saeya and in return it made ZelCarter concern for her. He sighed and observed them. ZelCarter was asleep on his back with Saeya snugged against him with her head on his bare chest. "... Yes, this have to be done." Dezorax whispered to himself in a depressed tone. Truly, he does not wish to leave, but as he thought a sacrifice must be done. The White Devil leaned his head on the bed near his friend's arm, feeling the body heat radiate from him. "I... really wish not to leave you dear friend, but this must be done for the happiness of yourself and your lover. Please though... as I break away from you, just... just please do not forget me." he inhaled deeply. "And please do not find me either, it would not bode well unto Saeya's happiness." he stood up and took off his dove necklace and placed it into the drawer beside the bed. "I never wish to harm," he removed his white cross earring and laid it in the same drawer. "Only to bring joy unto you both." Dezorax walked to the double doors and opened them. "Farewell... ZelCarter." and at that he closed the doors making his way to his own chambers to get the last few hours of sleep he could before day would rise. What he was unaware of was the open eyes of dear Saeya. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x ZelCarter awoke a second later after Saeya fell back to sleep. His glowing cat-like yellow eyes blinking before they inverted back to their cold black ones. It was an effect from his demonic instincts being alerted and telling him to awake if there was any mental harm being done. He was not awake to see his friend make his small speech but he did hear it, only it came to him as a dream. A dream he never wish to have again. ZelCarter sighed and slowly removed himself from Saeya and got up from the bed. Never once did he have the dream like that and just remembering it made his heart stop cold. He couldn't afford to lose the White Devil. He put his hands in his leather pockets and made his way to Dezorax's chambers. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x He sat down on the bed and observed him. The devil's hair was a bit scattered so it covered some of his face and the blanket was pulled up to his waist, but he immediately noticed was the missing earring that usually the devil wore. He ignored it though, thinking that he probably just didn't want to wear it. "Sleepy one." he whispered and raked a hand through his own hair. "You know, I had a odd dream about you." he looked down at his own lap. "You were talking about leaving because you wanted to make Saeya happy," he frowned a bit to himself. "And that left me feeling... a bit uneasy." ZelCarter rested his head in his hands for a moment to contemplate on things before removing his raven necklace. "I remember the day when Malachai told me that you and I were birthed at the exact same time and day but jut in different locations. I knew I didn't have parents or a family, but when I was told about you I felt like I had a twin, and you was the family I didn't have." he paused. " From there I did my best to keep you with me, even now.... just.. to keep us connected in any way." Every word made him feel a bit distressed. He pulled off some of the blanket that covered the rest of Dezorax and slid the raven necklace in his pocket then covered him up. "I also remember the day you told me you wanted to be an angel, it was random but never unexpected." he started to take out his earring. "People always look at us as 'The Black Devil and White Devil' or 'The Twilight Devils' but to me it was different," He moved Dezorax's hair away from his face and inserted his own earring in his friend's ear. "It was I who was the devil and you the angel. To me I looked at us as 'Devegel'... Devil-" he looked at the double doors. "And Angel." ZelCarter stood and walked to the double door opening them. "Sleep well." and with that he returned to his room. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x And as hours passed it formed into morning and Dezorax was in the entry way getting his umbrella out while being questioned by Teresa. "And where will you go?" she asked. "London." he replied opening the door and saw the hazy blue sky, knowing it was around six o'clock a.m "Why there?" she blinked. He smirked a bit to himself. "I always wanted to go there." She sighed but shook her head knowing that giving the devil a thousand questions would just make him leave sooner. "Well this it." he looked over his shoulder towards her. "Farewell, miss Teresa." There was a silent 'bye' from her when the devil left out the door. Then the room felt tense. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x After taking his last look of the flower shop Dezorax decided to take one more look of his garden as well, but what caught his attention was the cloaked figure near the garden. "Umm... may I ask what are you do-" "The world..... such a damned orb." the deep voice said behind his hood. Dezorax narrowed his eyes a bit. He didn't really bother with the comment but it was the suffocating presence that made him feel stiff. "Excuse me?" ".... Nothing." the figure replied and walked off. Dezorax slowly took his eyes off of him and looked at the garden. Something was telling him to stay but he ignored it. He raised his hand and a white glowing door appeared. As he stepped in, a rush of memories ran through him, and only ended as the door closed. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x When it struck three o'clock p.m ZelCarter awoke with a mild ache in his chest. He ignored it of course, thinking of it as a normal body symptom. Though when he looked around he didn't see Saeya though knew she was in the shower when hearing the water run. He opened his drawer to get his leather gloves but furrowed his eyebrows in confusion when he saw Dezorax's items too. The dull ache started to hurt a bit more as a uneasy feeling washed over him. The Black Devil stood up shoving the items in his pocket and walked out to the White Devil's chambers, but only to stop short when seeing no one was in there. His eyes narrowed in suspicion and quickly walked down the hall to the 'meeting room' where he heard loud voices. Everyone immediately shushed when the door slammed open. "Oh h-h-hello Sire!" Malachai nervously greeted. The nervous assistant knew of what had taken place with the White Devil, so hiding his fear of what his master might do was as hard as trying to fit a square in a small hole. "Cut the bull crap, where is he? His presence isn't lurking anywhere." ZelCarter cut short with almost a growl. Everyone in the room gulped and pushed Malachai ahead showing him he needs to tell ZelCarter what happen. "Hehehe, well you see m-m-master u-umm your fr-friend h-h-h-has g-gone," he was now shaking. ZelCarter's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Where?" he ground out. Malacahi was now hyperventilating. "H-h-h-h-he-" he was cut off by the heat rising in the room do to ZelCarter's impatience. "Just say it you stuttering dumbass!" Maleinia yelled. Still looking the same as she did years ago. "White Devil permanently left the manor!" Malachai's words came out in such a rush that ZelCarter had to slowly decipher what he said, and once he figured it out the Black Devil's eyes slowly started to widen. Now that the he knew what had happen- Hell was going to break lose. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x To be continued. Next release date: uhh well the next part is something I really can't wait to write so it'll be out this week before the 8th. Also the link for the manga will be up very soon! In the next Chapter I'll let you know what's done =) Bonus: Q/A Q: Is Dezorax's "innocence" meant to be portrayed in his more child-like behavior. Does he intentionally act this way? A: Yup :D Q: You name the leader of the organization as "organization guy" in chapter 2- have you not come up with a name for him or do you intentionally cloak him in mystery for the reader's benefit? A: well the name for him has already been decided but I cloaked him for mystery :) His name and the organization will be announced in the next Chapter :) as you can see he also made a brief cameo in the garden scene, it's just there wasn't any blue fire surrounding his head =D Q: Why would Teresa allow the friendship of Zel and Dez...? Are their fates intertwined in some prophecy? Or is there a higher up she must answer to that instructs the friendship to be allowed to achieve some goal? A: I would love to answer that! But I won't! In the next Chapter that will be said by it's self =) (And if some are thinking it's because of the 'family' speech by Zelly then that's not it! She could have easily just declined so it shows there is more to it than that =D) Q: Why is ZelCarter so open in maintaining the friendship with Dezorax, if they are such polar opposites? A: Well I think that answer showed it's self in the 'ZelCarter's family' speech :) If you have anymore questions then don't be afraid to ask! I just love answering questions :) |
