WHAT'S HIS NAME
I remembered to forget. |
WHAT’S HIS NAME? Remembering my childhood Seems not hard at all, But what did I do yesterday Gets harder to recall. The fire of youthful memories Is still burning bright, While what I did more recently Slipped right out of sight. I just went to another room, Left my favorite chair Stood for a while wondering, Why did I go there? Now picking up this notebook, As I sit back down again, I know what I was looking for, I don’t have a pen! How can I remember well Those old days at school, And forget what I’m doing now, Which seems to be the rule. I’ll bet it’s that new medication, The Doctor said to take. I’ll give him a piece of my mind. What’s his name for Pete’s sake? ©03/14/12 Monty |
