A poem about moving on
I sit alone this evening
And think about the past
Of all the time we shared
Memories that last

I wish you were here with me
Sharing my memories
Of times of love and dreams
A time for you and me

But you went away without a word
Where did it all go wrong?
What did I do to lose you?
Was my love for you not strong?

I see you walking down the street
With another on your arm
My heart aches for your caress
I miss your smile and charm

But you are gone forever
I know it deep inside
But I’ll go on somehow
My tears have all been cried.
