Obsession
by Elle
Rated: E | Poetry | Mystery | #1859217
secrets and what we keep hidden from the world
Over and over again
Her movements fervent
The sound of water flowing
It didn't stop.
not even after they turned red
She just kept at it
her face frowned
deep in concentration
her movements repetitive
The sound of water flowing
It didn't stop.
People came and went
No one paid attention to her
except for one person
who had stayed just a while longer
to watch
to observe
in silence
as the water kept flowing
and she kept up her excessive measures
a sense of desperation
lingered in the air
even after the door closed
leaving all that happened
a mystery
a haunting image

did she ever stop?
did the flow of water ever cease?
no one knows...
