"The Legend By The Oracle"

Rated: 13+ | Poetry | Mythology | #1862429
On the ship Argo with the ring eyed falcon, a new legend by the oracle.
The sign far upon the evening tide

beneath the sunset the oracle,

my ancient bird from above

flying too low and sink,

cut off from men

all winter there,

the cloak enfolds

with a hearth ablaze,

in clouds of wavy grey

a hope to dream and peep,

buoyed upon this quiet stream

one sunset in the mountain rays.

All crowned with golden days

deep within the valley soil,

where white lilies grow

my new nest to rest,

one sunset more

rising high in flight,

this hidden meaning

home to ancient Greece,

the sunset oracle at Delphi

our holy place about the future.

The new built ark with doves

to seek dry land with a leaf,

green a color for another

strapped to the wheel,

seeing the danger

clashing rocks,

claws and beaks

cast within brass,

man eating creatures

there on the ship Argo,

with the ring eyed falcon

a new legend by the oracle.
