Happy Mother’s Day Mama
Rated: E | Poetry | Emotional | #1863364
Written for my birth mother.
I know you could not give me a life,
but you taught me how to breathe.
I know sometimes there may be strife,
but you are still a part of me.

I know you wish that we could meet,
and meet we will, I swear.
Even if I have to defeat,
my heartbeat of despair.

I know our love will transcend time,
and angels will sing our name.
Once I leave this lifetime;
our meeting we will reclaim.

So, Happy Mother’s day, dear Mom;
sweet memories I hope will bud.
I hope that your life remains calm;
I love you with my undying love.
