Island of Troy

Chapter 1 - The Island on earth

"If everyone would pay attention I'll tell the story of our Ancestors." A boy in green jeans with no top on, muscles bulging everywhere, says to a bunch of people all sitting around a bomb fire.
"This island had a volcano on it in prehistoric times. In 666, eight men built eight houses one for each of them with their wives around the Island evenly separated from one another like lugs on a drum. All at the shore lines.
Presently there is motels between the houses under a road that goes on top of a wall like the great wall of China. The wall goes all the way around the island attaching to all eight houses that are actually now town halls. The island now has eight towns. Around 2020 are ancestors build a dome over the whole island and the eighteen little man made islands surrounding it. The dome is made of billions of twenty by twenty bullet proof sheets of glass that open to let air flow. But if there's a storm they close. As we all know for thats where we are now, but back in the day I'll tell you who are ancestors where.
The first of the eight men was a Woodsman, cut trees down. Big 7'2" muscular brown hair and eyes. Wife was 5'6" blond hair and blue eyes, she did house work and sewing. They had there first child in 666 when they first went to the island and built the houses. Big Al Charger and his wife Desiria had Bram their first born in June on the 16th.
The second of the eight men was a Carpenter, built houses. Chase was 5'4" short for a man but with his green eyes and red hair he looked like an interesting man. His wife, Charaline was a brunette, with brown eyes. They had their first born May the 3rd. A girl with Green' eyes and brown hair named May after the month she was born in.
The third of the eight men was a Doctor, took care and fixed people, but was also good at potions or medicine. At 5'6" this Asian was tall for his background but same black hair and eyes like most from the same background. Conas wife also Asian was only 4'9"with black hair and eyes too. Alana was a good sewer and cook. They had a little boy named Stomp, black hair and eyes.
The fourth of the eight was a Veterinarian, took care and fixed animals, also good with medicines. His wife was 5'7" with Red hair and blue eyes. While he was only 5'5" but eyes as green as the forest and hair as blond as some tall grass or the hay. Brian and Elda had Tom a short guy when he grew up but strong eyes turning from blue to green depending on his mood and Brown hair.
The fifth of the eight was a sailer/Fisherman he liked to be considered a pirate all though he never became one, he was an explorer and actually came across the island they lived on. Trien was 6'5" and had a long beard for his age. Married Livni and had Brandi as there first born. All with Brown hair and eyes.
The sixth of the eight was a Magician. With Red hair and green eyes at 6'6" he looked more like a clown. His wife was 4'3" also red hair but blue eyes. That made the act even funnier. In a way his magic act was half clown circus type stuff. Lan and April had Chester a little Red head boy with green eyes.
The seventh of the eight was a Scientist. He helped the Magician with alot of things but also helped the doctor with potions. At 5'7" this skinny man had black hair and hazle eyes. Married to a widow an older lady she was the oldest there but the most beautiful of them all with long brown hair and eyes at 5'5". Mario and Scarlet had a little girl Selena some how she had blond hair and blue eyes, Mario claimed it to be his side from his mother.
Then last but not least the eighth of the eight is Frank the Carpender. Working with the woodsman on houses before hitting the sea to make a new civalization on an island. He was 6'2" muscular with Blond hair and green eyes. His wife was a black woman with black hair and eyes. Their child was a brown girl with brown eyes and hair. When Frank and Mitilda had Brianna they had there house already built and the third house was being built.
When Brianna grew to be almost 20 she Married Chester the magic mans son who came up with all sorts of inventions and they conceived Luke a little dark skinned boy with Red hair. No body ever saw anything like it. His eyes where still dark like his skin and it was odd he was darker then his mom and pretty much the same shade as his grandmother.
At the age of 18 Selena married Tom and they had a little girl named Bridget with Blond hair and blue eyes.
Stomp was an interesting one who liked Brandi and May but couldn't choose. So Bram choose for him and took Brandi and Stomp was mad and stomped around."
The boy with green jeans and red hair looked like a Christmas decoration but no one would say it because of his muscular body. Another smaller boy asked the boy that was telling the story, "Nape, are you going to tell the story of the eight and how they built the houses on the island now or the story of there decedents of the first borns up to Troy?"
"Why dont you tell the story of the eight and the caves first, I think your old enough now Brad. Then I'll continue telling everyone of the decedents." Nape answered.
"OK everyone when my great grand father told me this I didn't believe him at first then I heard the the story from Nape and I started to realizing its true. Then I found the caves for myself. If you search long enough you'll find them. Most of us have since we are the older man made island of grade 12 or island 17 some like to call it same age you are.
"When I did believe after matching the two story's I listened so now I can tell it with no sweat. Lan and April went on a hike with Mario and Scarlet one day in the first week of being on the island. Busy helping make the houses one at a time, eventually all eight would be built. But at that time the four of them were not needed and in need of a break. When they got to the mountain in the middle of the island they started to go up a steady slope that had maybe a thirty degree angle maybe less. At some points there where big boulders and some little cliffs. Eventually, after about half hour, the slope got steeper maybe a fourty degree angle with bigger boulders and cliffs. At one point, Mario leading said, ``Stop, I see a cave.`` and he came to a stop at a cave and had to light torches to go in. As they got deeper they see diamonds in the rocks and gold and coal. The coal would be the most useful since they can make use of it for fuel, more torches or other fuel like trains if they build that much. But the diamonds and gold is good too for they can sail back to some main land and sell it for lots of necessities. Not much would be needed because the island had so much resources on it already. But to get things made faster like rail road rails and train parts they could buy them, and did but thats farther in the story. Right now they are just discovering the caves. Mario told them all about the diamonds, gold, and coal (being a scientist he knew more then the others about this stuff) but he said something else then, ``This cave has alot of lava rock too. Here and there but it`s really old. This mountin must have been a volcano in the prehistoric times.`` As their walked deeped into the cave the walk way became smaller so they had to walk one behind another. Then all of a sudden it opened up and they could go strait in to dark or follow the cave wall left or right. Mario chose left and came to a torch holder on the wall. They were surprised to see some man made artifact. Having more torches in their bags, Mario stuck his torch into the holder and pulled out another one for him self. Mario then walked on but just as the light from the first torch in the torch holder was starting to fade Lan said, ``I see another torch holder.`` Putting his torch in he pulls another torch out of his bag and they keep walking. It seems that after every time the torches light is starting to fade they come across another torch holder. Also the cave wall seemed to be on a slight curve to the right. Scarlet said, ``This cave wall is curving to the right we are going to end up back at the enterence we came in.`` But they came to a opening four torches later. Instead of going to the left in the opening April said, ``Why dont we go strait and put another torch in the one torch holder I see on the other side of this opening?`` So they went strait and put another four in and the circular room they went around in was lit up. They could see paintings on the walls now just above and inbetween the tourches curving up to a dome like ceiling all with pictures of weird things. Animals, stick figures, the island, boats, the mountin seemed to be a volcano, and they all seemed to tell a story. Mario then said, ``I`ve never seen this writing before and I`ve studied alot of ancient writing. How about you Lan?`` The red haired six foot six guy answered, ``No I have never seen anything like it.`` They came out of the caves and walked down the mountain after that discovery. Not one of them wanted to go farther in the caves that day until they discussed things with the rest." Brad stoped talking and took a sip of his drink.
"What about the other island?" A little guy about the same size as Brad asked.
"Hold on I'm not there yet. That island isn't really even in this story although the people from the island are but later." Nape said. "As they were walking down the mountain something stirred in the bushes. Lan pulled out his sling shot and got a little rock just bigger then a pebble and put it in its holster. He drew back his hand loaded and ready to shoot at his prey. They all thought bear or maybe a tasty pig. But before they could pin point what bush the noise was coming from a voice from every angle said. ``What is it you want from the caves?`` Lan looked at the others then spoke for all of them, ``We are just looking around checking the place out. Discovering the island and our new home.`` Out of the North, east, south, and West at the same time four big ten foot tall people come out. Although these are not people or not human at least. With one eye a lot call them Cyclops. The four look up at these one eyed wonders and froze. ``Your new home you say?`` They all say at once. No wonder the sound came from everywhere they all talk at the same time. Then Scarlet spoke up, ``We didn't think anyone lived on this island.`` The Cyclops all answered, "No, no one does. We come from thy North island. The profit says eight will come to this island and build house. But you are four.``
Mario steps up on a rock to make himself as tall as them and says, ``We are eight, well eight men with wives.`` The Cyclops all take a step back and say, ``We mean no harm, only came to warn you island is dangerous. When inhabited volcano comes back to life. But if you are profit of eight the prophecy will live on and all will be safe.`` April then said to Lan, ``Lan get down off there there's no need to be their hight they just came to warn us saying if we are not the eight the volcano will explode.`` she looked up at the North Cyclops and said, ``Thank you for your warning, but I'm confused on one thing you say. When inhabited the volcano comes back to life. But there has been life here for along time just not human it seems except for the writing in the caves.`` At that point the four humans hear the Cyclops whisper, ``They know of the writing, do they know how read? No could not it's ancient language known to us and ancestors.`` Then louder they say together to the humans, ``We mean to say any intelligent life will be wiped out for they always miss the point of life and make things worse.`` Then the Cyclops fade away as if they were ghost, or holograms but our ancestors didn't know of such things in 1666. At least not until the Cyclops gave them the technology. But I'm skipping ahead. As they walk down the slope back through the forest and to the house they where building with the others they discussed what happened. Mario being a scientist was sceptical and funny believe in prophesy or the ghost trick they pulled. Lan agreed and told Mario he had a disappearing act close to that fading out trick they did. When they got back they told the others what happened and what they found. Trien the pirate, as he liked to be called, was listening closely and spoke up when they finished telling there story. "When I was sailing and found this place fishing along the shores and sometimes coming on the island to go for a nature walk, I went north one time and I came across this north island. But I did not go close for the island was shooting these huge arrows at me. I wondered if the island I took hikes on had inhabitants, but for all the times I walked on it no forms of intelligent life came out. Just animals I sometimes hunted, being a fisherman I was taught how to hunt too. At a young age too. Back to the arrows I kept some if you want to study them Mario?`` Mario studied these arrows and the others continued to build there houses. Mario asked Lan to help him at one point a week later when everyone was working on the third house. Lan went into the lab set up in the first house that was built. This log house had six bedrooms, his lab, a big kitchen, living room, dinning room, and a front hall. The front hall came in from a little front porch and on the left was the living room, on the right the lab. Then as you walk down the hall there was three doors on the left and three on the right that was the bedrooms. At the back of the house the hall ended with two open archways. The left one was the kitchen and the right one was the dinning room. These rooms were big and made the house look like a capital T from birds eye view. The kitchen and dinning room had big doors going out onto a porch that span the hole back part of the house. ``What is this thing?`` Lan asked pointing at the tip of this big arrow. The thing had to be ten inches in diameter at least, and four feet long. The thing at the tip he was pointing at was like the tip of a sharp arrow but after was a round donut looking red thing that if they knew what plastic was and cars with red break lights they would have known or thought thats what it was. At this point I was wondering who ever crafted this must have been big and it was most likely the Cyclops my grandfather told me about earlier in the story. You all may be thinking the same thing. I also thought why would they want a brake light on the tip of a arrow? But as my grandfather went on I found out. It wasn't a light at all but a senser. Lan took it apart by turning these metal things that looked like nails. We know them now as screws. The big arrow thing split in half from tip to end. Inside was wires going from the tip with the red to the base back part that had three metal fins or feathers like on an arrow. After he moved some wires around he saw that the inside was hollow other then the wires connecting to little devices on each end that looked like little cakes. The one device had the red plastic, the donut, was in three rectangles curving around the big arrow. The other device seemed to be attached to the fin/feathers. On this shell he took off there was tiny squares all together, back then they didn't know it was a solar power panel, but they found out soon enough. For when Mario opened the window he said, ``That is a senser, when a cannon ball or maybe even another big arrow is about to hit it it senses it and turns the fin to avoid getting hit. This light powers the senser with some other functions I'm not sure yet, I have a feeling its controlled from where they shoot it as well to hit a target better.`` After he let the light in he walked over to where Lan just took the shell off and waved his hand in front of the arrow and the fin/feathers moved. ``You mean when they shoot this thing they can control what direction its going even after its in the air half way to its target? Like wind will push an arrow?`` Lan asked Mario these questions while stareing at the big arrow. ``Or like when you steer a ship with a fin that's why I wouldn't just call these feathers but fin/feathers.`` Mario replied with great explination.
"But they found out they could only control the arrows half way then they were out of reach for the remotes right?" An inpatient boy with blue eyes and blue dyed hair originally blond you could see growing out, asked.
"You know the story so well you tell it, Payton." Brad said to the boy.
"No I was just telling that part and asking if it was true." Payton replied.
"Story's are told and we don't know if they are all true but like I said before you can check the caves where these story's are written on the walls. Now after the magician and scientist studied the arrow the scientist decided to make a small copy of it. Taking the small arrow he worked day and night trying to find a way to control it. He made a even smaller copy the size of a arrow. Now this is real neat because this stuff is just gettin invented these days.
"But you know if you read the cave walls and look at our history The Island Of Troy has had this tecnology around for awhile. But back to the story of how the "Island On Earth"," Brad continued to say using quotations with his fingers when he said Island on earth. "as the caves mention before the caves started calling it The Island Of Troy.
"Mario built the small arrow and didn't know how to control it. So after weeks of trial and error he desided to go back to the caves with some of the others. With lots of the others Mario was studying the cave and noticed some of the writings on the wall to be codes and directions on how a remote is used for the arrows.
